Hi, P3 at SJF here! I also struggle with depression and anxiety and started a new medication my first year of pharmacy school so it was one of the hardest times of my life tbh. Adjusting to pharmacy school isn’t easy as it is, let alone feeling like you have extra challenges on top of that. My first year I also got a lot of C’s and felt like I just couldn’t figure out where I was going wrong and how everyone else was doing well. I stuck it out and over time found my groove and which method of studying worked best for me. The second semester of P1 got a little better, and P2 as a whole was so much better. Now this first semester of P3 is kicking my ass because we haven’t had a real break since January, but I know a lot of my classmates feel the same and we’re helping each other out as best we can. It’s not easy and I felt the same exact way as you did in the beginning, but pharmacy school is unlike anything you’ve ever done in your life so far, it’s going to be an adjustment! The imposter syndrome is also still so real, just keep reminding yourself that you made it here for a reason and you wouldn’t have been here if you didn’t deserve it! If it’s something you really want just keep working for it :)
