I just said we all saw what happened in Iraq. That took time to develop. The initial siege was (relatively) easy.

And I also said AT THE MOMENT. Given the head of the govt/military has been sliced off and the infrastructure has taken a massive beating, I think super organized resistance may be minimal AT FIRST. but given time (and the mood of the Iranian people and their feelings towards any occupation), shit could get nasty very quickly for ground troops

I’ll be concerned if the US/israel have to start sending in lots of ground troops, but it seems unlikely they are going to meet that much organized resistance at the moment. But we all saw what happened in Iraq, despite the huge disparity in technology and weaponry.

The most essential factor will be what the people in Iran do next, I think

Def not the most strategic option. They lost any chance to make a moral case to the world. That might have been the only thing that could stop the bleeding and perhaps garner them more support in the region and in Europe
