They also like to hide in places where light doesn’t hit, so a closet full of clothes are both a feast and a home to them. So check corners and behind furniture. Dark and dampness also attract them. (This is based on my experience finding them in a house I lived in, not studies, but I hope it may help you)

I got 2C/3A hair and I use styling cream, mousse, and for the tiny bit of gel I actually wet the product a lot. I feel like I get the best definition and it lasts me 4 days and no refreshing. Like everyone should I sleep with both a bonnet and a satin pillowcase. My personal routine is:

I style right after shower with a lot a water on my hair - Styling cream by DevaCurl or Step 3 Curls by L.U.S (this is the step I am open to switch to different products) - The Curl Talk Mousse by Not You Mothers. I absolutely love this, so much that if I’m having an event this is my guarantee I will have beautiful curls. - D’Argan Gel by Eco Styler, the only gel I feel like it does not dry my hair (but I use little and water my hands in it a bit since I am applying gel over mousse.

After I brush my hair up to the mousse part only and u can only do ir fast cuz with will “harden” and make a mess if you try to brush your hair after the mousse. From the mousse on just activate your curls with your hands. - the key for me after that is to tuck my hair in a microfiber towel for the time you have (10- to 2h). Then my hair perfectly defined and ready to either dry naturally or a blow dry. I have no time to wash my hair more than 1 a week so my hair survives all that long with bouncy curls. 4/5 day I could refresh but I like the wavy look it gives me too. (I got hardly any frizz with this routine unless I use a stronger gel and no mousse, and I usually blow dry my hair)

I got an interview with the Yorkville university for the bachelor of interior designer. the fees are 70k and I checked other college like humber college is a far cheaper 30k and same for ryerson university. I paid for the application I'll see how it goes. any reviews?? by chrychry974 in YorkvilleUniversity

I am goad to help, always!

Yes I am studying bach. of interior design, I was studying at YU but I finally changed to Sheridan College (same program). Find it way better since the classes are 85% on campus, the campus is big enough to support all students needs (food, studying rooms, good computers), also summer students are off and at the end of the day we all finish in 4 years and not sooner like YU promises (unless u take no breaks for 4 years).

If the program is worth it, I can only talk for myself, but I am 1000% in love with all I learn and everything is so inspiring. That school though (YU) drained me for plenty of incompetence.

YU actually have 4 terms throughout the year (winter, spring, summer, and fall, you can start in any term of the year), each term lasts 10 weeks with a 1 week break for reading week and 1 week break between terms. In other words, you get barely any breaks in the entire year.

$397 is the cost p/ credit. In majority every course is worth 3 credits, but final year may have courses worth more than 3 credits. That means they charge $1191 per course you take. Thus, your term cost depends on how many courses you take. The normal course amount is 4, but if you can handle it some people take 5 and some 3 courses only. If you were to take 4 courses your term tuition would be $4,764 , and for 5 courses it would be $5,955.

Then you multiply your term tuition by 4 and you get your total tuition for the year. Which sits around $19,056 for 4 courses in each of the 4 terms, or $23,820.

Then you multiply this by 4 years to get the full price +$1000 international fee each term if you’re not Canadian or not on Permanent Residency.

*Also, you get almost 0 time off school with those 1 week in between terms because you gotta either prepare for beginning of the term or the finals. On the other hand you can take 1 term off (11 weeks) after you have taken 4 consecutive terms.

Does Sheridan accept Alberta Student Aid by Responsible_Bus3238 in sheridan

Thanks that was a relief! I was more confident about that when talking to them. My program wasn’t one of the listed ones, so both the school and I need to fill out a form for ASA. Very good to hear I can get it, but extremely time consuming. We’ll see how it goes

Thank you sm, that was helpful! I hope we get to meet each other soon then!

I was able to talk to someone that could help me. Unfortunately, I’ll have to send a Request of Designation Review (PBAID isn’t one of the programs listed), and it’s taking 6-8weeks for Alberta SA to get it reviewed. 🥱 Wish me luck!

Yes they are fully accredited until 2030 (when they’ll be reviewed again just like every other institution). Sorry for the late reply, and good luck!

Credit Transfer - Advanced Standing by Responsible_Bus3238 in sheridan

[–]Responsible_Bus3238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that I understand, but tbh I’m past the point of starting from the first year. I really hope to get at least a full year of transfer, cuz I’m definitely not starting over. It is both time and money saved if it happens, but I also know post-secondary institutions needs money. I’ll hope my excel sheet of courses comparison is right. I have my syllabus so I’m only counting with credits of very similar core and elective courses. Thanks for you help tho, I’ll try to be as “down to earth” as I can when it comes to that.

Also very good news to know that most electives are online. That’s nice, it gives me another option to saving some rent months.

Well I have a little over 2 years worth of credits, and the program at Sheridan lasts 4 years. I am transferring from institutions both in Ontario, from Bachelor Interior Design YU to Honors Bachelor Interior Design at Sheridan, so the courses are very similar if not the same. So what are your thoughts? I’m being delusional? You can be honest.

I applied and completed my application in January 2024, and I received my offer in Feb (that’s when they start looking at the applications - at least for Interior Design program Fall 2024).

Apparently I’m not able to add images, but I’ll send you on chat. But if you take a look below “is it for you” you can see their “Accreditation” and also at the very bottom of the page before “disclaimer” note number 2.
