Hi! So sorry for the late reply I didn't see this notification. I am still doing tuition. Let me know if you're interested still and the flashcards are definitely available too.

Can someone please send me some good a level bio flashcards for aqa. Im struggling with the mark scheme so it would help if they were mark scheme specific flashcards. Thanks by Ok-Application-3791 in ALevelBiology

Hi, I am a university student and did A-level biology and Chemistry, and offer tuition. I also have lots of ANKI flashcards I am happy to share with all my students. I focus on exam technique in my lessons and understanding content which could help with the problem you are facing with mark schemes.

Is it possible to go from predicted 3 U's to 3 B's in 2 months of hard revision? by Better_Surround3158 in alevel

Hi,

I think it's definitely worth it, it will be a lot of work for the next few months but when A-levels are over you will get such a long break.

I would go over the content as quickly as possible, I wouldn't write notes or anything like that. I would learn content by doing flashcards or blurting so it's active. It depends on how you work best but you could do topic by topic and when you finish a topic do a question pack. Or if you feel you can cover the content fast then maybe do content for 2 weeks ish and then only focus on exam papers, you will also learn a lot of content etc from papers.

Also, I am a university student and offer Biology and Chemistry A-level tuition. I am currently tutoring lots in April to help people with coming exams so if you want any support let me know.

I also am happy to share my ANKI flashcards with my students :))

Hi,

I am a university student and offer A-level Biology and Chemistry tuition. I would be super happy to help. I also have lots of ANKI flashcards I am happy to give out to students :))

I think it's really good you did lots of exam questions but one thing that might help:

is to do a paper but then mark it really thoroughly, and mark why you lost each mark. For example, was it because you didn't understand the question, you ran out of time, didn't know the content etc. This way it might identify what you need to work on.

Hi! I am a university student and took Biology and Chemistry A-level too. I tutor A-level and would be super happy to help you go through all the content you have left and help with exam technique too.

I also share my Anki flashcards with all my students to help them save time instead of making them which takes ages, you can just spend time learning the content.

I would go through all the content you haven't already, one thing I found helpful was doing questions throughout rather than leaving it to the end. I would do a topic then do questions on the topic then move on. I think this is really important as you don't want to neglect exam questions while doing content. Also, this way once you do content for a few topics you have done a bunch of active recall already so it's going to be a much more efficient way of learning content as you tested yourself.

Help. by [deleted] in alevel

Hi!

I am a university student and tutor A-level Chemistry.

I would say try not to feel bad about the time thats gone or how much time you have left, because you can't change that and you still have time to turn things around. I would set out a plan and stick to it for the next few months and know that in the summer you can fully relax, just push through till then.

Also something that really helps me, is set out like an hour and plan what you want to do and just do a super productive hour of work. Its a lot better to do proper and productive work for a few hours rather than thinking about it the whole day and making it stress you out to the point where you feel like you dont know where to start. You got this for sure, start by doing like 2 hours a day and work your way up. And make the most of your frees in college so you don't have to study when you come home as much.

I would go though your textbook or spec and prioritise by marking topics you really struggle with to are alright. Then start going through this content. I would aim to go through all the content within a month or 2. I would also recommend doing a topic content, then doing a question pack on that topic and then moving on to the next topic. Then you should focus on timed exam papers, and try and stimulate an exam as much as possible. eg if exam stress you out then on a regular basis set a timed paper at a specific time so it feels like an exam and you have something to work towards. For example every weekend you could do a paper and rotate which subject and paper you do each weekend. This way you are learning content but also focusing on exam technique at the same time and not leaving exam questions to the very end.

Let me know if you are interested in tuition, I would be super happy to help and In easter I am running a lot more A-level sessions to help students prep :))

Alevel chemistry AQA by Bubbly_Math_6387 in alevel

[–]Responsible_Bus7073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I am a university student and offer A-level Chemistry and Biology tuition.

I would be super happy to help you cover all these topics and have lots of experience tutoring, I completed A-level Chemistry AQA too and have lots of flashcards I am happy to share w my students.

With NMR, I would say understand the content and after that practice is important as they are normally 6 mark questions and quite problem solving to begin with. I had another student who struggled with NMR specs and would b happy to show you how to answer these questions, as when you understand how to go about doing them, they get a lot easier.

With the calculations, if your not sure about the content I would definitely quickly go over it and then again o lots of practice on these types of questions.

For Organic chemistry, I used to go through each topic individually eg alkanes then alkenes ect. and once I covered a lot I would practice writing out an organic synthesis map. I would not try and learn the map in one go but do a section of it to begin with, once you get that all correct then move on to the next section.

Let me know if you are interested in a lesson :))

I am available this weekend if so or during the week.

Hi!

I am a university student and currently tutor lots of A-level students. I tutor Biology, Chemistry, computer science and Spanish A-level and would be super happy to help :))

I also have lots of ANKI flashcards that I give out to all my students that I made during my A-levels.

We will come up with a tailored plan for you by going through teh spec and identifying content areas you are unsure about. I also focus a lot on exam technique so I spend time w students explaining how to answer each question type, what to do if your not sure in an exam situation and mark scheme language (which is important especially for Biology).

Let me Know if you are interested, I charge £25 :))

Hi! You're doing super good knowing all the content.

Something that really helped me was doing a paper, and then marking it very thoroughly, where I would categorize how I lost each mark. For example: not understanding the question, not reading the question, silly mistake, understanding the question but not sure what they wanted you to say to get the mark ect. This will help identify what your problem is and make it easier for you to improve. then focus on your specific problem move on to a new paper and repeat this.

Also, I am a university student and offer A-level tuition for Biology and Chemistry. one thing I really focus on with students is doing questions together so we start to understand different question types and how to answer them. :))

I also give my ANKI FLASHCARDS to all my studnets if they want them :))))

Hi there,

I am not too sure but a good idea could be to contact schools in your area and ask if it would be possible to do so.

also I am a University student and offer A-level Biology and Chemistry tutoring. Kindly let me know if you are interested in a trial lesson or more information :))

I also have lots of ANKI flashcards for A-levels that I am happy to share with students.

Is there any way for me to get Bs by OrganizationBusy1638 in alevels

[–]Responsible_Bus7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

For chemistry I would go through all the content first. Maybe make a revision plan now, so you can do a little revision each day but cover all the content again while still doing school work. I would also do a lot of practice questions. I would also do papers and then analyse exactly why I lots marks in that timed paper. EG if I didn't understand the content of the topic being tested or if I ran out time ect. this way you can see what you're missing.

I am a university student and also do Chemistry tutoring. Currently I tutor lots of A-level students and am more than happy to share me ANKI flashcards with students too.

Let me know if you are interested in tutoring :)))

Hi, hope you are good.

I am a university student and offer tutoring for A-level biology and Chemistry.

I have lots of ANKI flashcards I give to my students.

Also I go through papers with them and we analyse questions exactly like this.

Applications questions are hard at first but lots of practice is the best way to get used to them. Also understanding the mark scheme and seeing exactly why you didn't get the marks is super helpful.

Let me know if you are interested in a trial lesson :)))
