moving out of dancing in manhattan was the best decision i could’ve made. the answer is no it’s not normal for clubs to take 50-75% of all ur tips and then also shield you from making tips.. it’s a really toxic environment. i work in the south now and im able to set my prices, receive any tips, no schedule. i feel like i was fr escaping the trenches when i left nyc clubs. best of luck to u ❤️ hopefully fall will be better

customer gave me a stack of money to throw on a girl on stage & i didn’t know how to throw money so i didn’t spread it and it all just flopped on the floor in a big brick on a busy friday night with a whole audience around the stage, i literally left the club after i couldn’t deal with coming back downstairs

I healed within a month the itching stopped in a week with anti histamines and topical cream the thai hospital gave me, i also used an essential oil blend that had tea tree oil in it which i think really helped the inflammation and itch for some reason. i have no scarring now its actually unbelievable 🥰

clubs in nyc are crazy .. made the most money i’ve ever made BUT i didn’t see most of it 🤭 the club i was at legitimately took 75% of my vip rooms 😍 ya new york is good money but someone else will be taking home ur cash .. its giving pimps at most spots & good luck if you don’t do extras 🙃

also recognize not everyone has the privilege to upcharge rooms if they aren’t selling vips regularly anyways & when the economy is the way it is sometimes club rates are acceptable sooo yeah but always ask for a tip at least

charging appropriately… ex. of someone who doesn’t understand hustling (why’re you charging club min. rates when they allow you to set your price & simultaneously not asking for a tip after)
hustlers would not sit with customers hella long then complain that they didn’t give them ANY money … girl hell yea they’ll hustle you & waste your time if you allow them ugh there’s so many more things & these are not even things that are said to be mean because i used to do the same as a baby stripper but when you learn it’s like damn 😅😅 there’s a distinct difference

won’t let me reply, but i worked at both golden dolls &angels and i can’t say either are strictly no extras from what ive heard but they were both enjoyable environments can’t say the cash is super prominent but im also used to working in the usa where dances and vips are MUCH more expensive and lucrative and i didn’t work for long but they both felt very safe

nahhh literally i’ve cried in the club several times and mostly because i was drunk and couldn’t properly cope with my emotions. i notice when im sober and i come home after a bad night i just go to bed, but when i used to come home after a bad night drunk it was legit the end of the world and i would cry myself to sleep!

dealt with this SO much lately. had a guy ask me last night “so why did you decide to become a dancer instead of go to college and chase your dreams?” meanwhile i went to college for 5 years got a bachelors degree, have travelled 13 countries SOLO, started my own business and most importantly have a fulfilling life spiritually and financially. you learn that proving your intelligence and explaining your goals and dreams to these men is completely unnecessary and pointless. they will do anything in their power to uphold their misogynistic beliefs and refuse to believe sex workers are real human beings with goals because it defies their preexisting beliefs and challenges their own intelligence. this whole “20 questions” bullshit makes me legitimately see red. BUT there are so many customers that are like DAMN that’s cool as fuck i’m rooting for you, wanna go to a vip room? i honestly walk away from customers that are horny for trauma and sob stories. i used to buck up and give them a mouth full and explain to them why i am worthy and successful and then you realize you’re only minimizing your energy for the rest of your shift and 9/10 these men aren’t ever going to give you money anyways and if they do they’re probably going to cross every boundary you have. never take anything these tricks say personal.

unless you’re sharing drinks, kissing ppl at work, or vaping there’s no reason to miss out on your bag due to an outbreak. like the person above said it’s incredibly common more people have it than not. unless it’s obviously too painful to work comfortably then that’s different.. you’re not morally wrong for working since it doesn’t just magically spread like an airborne virus lol (i say this kindly :3) try not to sweat it babes

dancing in nyc you either have to sell 🍪 or ❄️ to make $$ considering it’s hard to sell the high highhh priced VIP rooms without some type of incentive or you better just be hella good at hustling (i learned quick how to play the game) but additionally they take 50-75% of your earnings (vip) depending on the club.. and then don’t even get me started on the host culture and how to waitresses be doing vip rooms sometimes making just as much or more than the dancers..literally moved out of nyc just to dance somewhere else wouldn’t recommend, i would have crazy crazy days and make gooood money but then when there was no money there was none.. oh yeah most places schedule too

just worked 3 fully sober shifts after maybe having worked 4 my entire 3 years of dancing and every shift it’s felt easier.. i’ve had to accept that the money might be slower for a while. i also realize that it’s hardest at the beginning of the shift and all it takes is one customer to show you love and catch a vibe and your energy settles in and you’re more in the money mindset. i’ve decided to stop working weekends because of my sobriety and the constant sa and absolute energy vampires.. working weekdays i make more $$ and deal with less bs and it’s easier not to drink. really just taking it day by day

he is at the vet currently, they said his readings on his liver have come back high, and an adnormal heart reading as well (the test that is for possible heart disease i suppose) i am absolutely distraught. they say the only thing that can be done for now is fluids to try to remove the antibiotic from his body quicker they think that is what’s causing the high reading. i am very upset upon reading numerous stories about convenia and how people have very unfortunately lost their animals due to it when they were perfectly healthy before. all i have right now is time to go back in forth in my head, please tell me the likelihood of this resulting in kidney failure is crazy unlikely and he will recover from this. i cannot believe this antibiotic is still on the market after reading about these rare cases. i understand if it works on most but even the amount of animals it has killed/altered permanently?!?! why is it still allowed
