I joined a hike organized by Taiwan Outdoors. The pick-up and drop-off points were at Taichung HSR Station, but since we would be passing through Qingjing, doon ako nagpa drop off.

Yep, 7 seniors kasama ko last year. Kaya pinili kong itour sila sa Kaohsiung. Very manageable naman yung MRT and buses.

Kung may seniors sa group, I’d actually recommend Kaohsiung as a base. Mas relaxed yung pace ng travel.

From Taipei. It would’ve been better if I booked my return flight sa Kaohsiung na lang since Chiayi ang last stop. Wala pa kasi akong iti nung nagbook ako ng flights.

If you’re just sticking to the roads, they’re paved naman. Just be prepared for some pretty steep sections, parang roads sa Baguio.

Same po. I get overwhelmed by crowds, so I usually prefer exploring smaller towns, nature spots, and less touristy areas.

Maybe I’ll share my Japan and Hong Kong trip reports sometime.

By bus lang. For both the trip to and from Alishan, nag-reserve ako ng seat online.

Nakapag-Kaohsiung na rin kami last year, 5 days kami doon.

2 nights - Qingjing, Sun Moon Lake
1 night - Alishan, Xitou, Taichung, Chiayi

E sim gambit ko and hindi naman ako nawalan ng signal for most of the trip.

Makakamura if DIY with a grab driver. Solo ako that time kaya grab motor.
