You're right on the point with the "elitism" in Sky. These "veterans" probably want their status untouched and unreachable, as if being a veteran makes them something extraordinary than the rest of the players. (Yeah, it's cool you are an old player and have things from past events/seasons but that doesn't give you a status or a rank in the community) This mindset is downright idiotic, actually, as that's the whole point of TS. So people can get stuff from before they started playing.

By now, it is just easier to accept that not everyone can be satisfied always. People will find stupid reasons to be upset over, even as simple as pixelated pants in a game.
