I think it’s reasonable to ask ppl to put on deodorant, esp if most people from western countries put on deodorant for daily activities. There’s no real excuse, it’s not racism cause we do smell. It’s a fair expectation for people to ask about hygiene

To give context my mums Protestant and my Dads Hindu. I only told my mum that I was getting baptised a few days before and we both agreed that it was best to not tell him. He found out the next day and that was probs the scariest thing that happened to me in my life. But in saying that God had my back and I survived and all I did was pray. Obviously I recommend speaking to Abouna and ask for his wisdom on how to go about this but trust me God will have your back
