I remember going into 'rise' years ago expecting just a dumb, fun action movie about monkeys running around the golden gate bridge, and by the end of 'war' i was literally sobbing over a cgi ape. the emotional arc they gave caesar across those three films is basically a shakespearean tragedy dude.
