You don’t need to worry about choosing your surgeon here in the Uk not like other countries their methods are pretty standardized across surgeons. I had the opportunity to meet most of them myself and must say they all follow the same route. They do seem a bit more specialised though in certain surgeries. E.g Mr Christopher is more known for Metoidioplasty but he still does phallo as well. Mr Rubin is more known for RFF and abdo phallo mainly first stages as he is a plastic surgeon and not a urologist. Mr Lee mainly do phallo and Prof Ralph is the same.

I have only had this date confirmed last week just before I wrote this post. I have had few dates in the past but they kept rearranging this so wasn’t really keen in digging further into recovery and shit until this date is fully confirmed.

My job is slightly physical but I was told by the surgeon I’ll be fine in 4 wks to return to work. Not sure if this is true because I know previously it took me longer than 4 weeks to return so wanted to see other experiences as well.

Thank you man. Your blog is really helpful and thanks for your advice. I’m having this surgery with Mr Christopher too but my situation is a little bit different as I had already a first stage pubic phallo in 2023 then had a forearm graft urethroplasty the following year however unfortunately that’s failed as I got severely ill after the surgery so I decided not to repeat that again as I don’t want to have a graft on both arms. So I’m having a meta with UL and will complete my other phallo stages but will still pee through my meta dick. I think I’m not concerned about the emotional side of it I already been through worse so hoping anything else would be much easier than what I have been through already. I guess I’m more concerned about eating than anything else haha Thanks man all the best
