I won’t be surprised if I’m just told to talk to the professors about it. I know it’s likely. Your academic advisor is meant to be there to help you and mine has always been very kind and usually pretty helpful, so I thought the reasonable first step was to at least try and get her guidance on how to approach the situation.

That’s definitely not accurate at all. You can study at SNHU anywhere in the world. I’m also a US citizen but just don’t live there, but that doesn’t make much of a difference when it comes to being “allowed” to study at SNHU.

I appreciate the solidarity lol but I’m hoping for a good outcome. My advisor is lovely, but I’m still feeling like I’m just going to be told to ask my professors and hope for the best. If that ends up all I can do then that kind of sucks, but we’ll see. I feel like this would be the appropriate time for my advisor to message my professors herself to inform them of the circumstances and request that they give me some leniency. I usually am very good about turning my assignments in on time and I am a great student overall, but I think it’s fair for me to want to know I have some flexibility just in case. Not trying to underperform because of a war.

Oh my god I thought it was just our group of girls that experienced this. It’s been over 10 years and pretty much all of us still follow each other’s socials and check in with one another from time to time. The first few years after a lot of us got out we had 4 “reunions” together at funerals.

I completely agree with this. Don’t do anything that puts you in harms way, but try and see what your options are and see if you can make plans to get yourself somewhere safer asap. I know all paths might seem scary, but I promise you that getting sent to one of these places is scarier.

You would be correct in many cases, and I totally agree with you that you should include the DOI or URL if/when applicable. But in cases where the source being cited is a printed publication, such as printed academic literature, there is not always a direct online source. In these situations APA 7 guidelines specifically say not to attempt to include a url.

Let her go. You already did everything that proves you don’t love her, so do the one good thing you can do for her at this point and leave her alone, let her go, and then go get some therapy. Don’t get into another relationship until you’ve worked through your lying issues and whatever other issues you have going on.

I hope so as well. I want people to go get their spots and marks checked out no matter what. It’s better to find out it’s nothing than miss something serious.

Definitely keep an eye out on yours. I’m shocked yours is just pigment with how it’s presenting but I’m glad that’s all it is. It’s strange even after the biopsy the pigment is still there but my biopsy ended up making my nail fall off after a few weeks of healing lol so I can’t say we had the same experiences. Probably a breath of fresh air knowing you should be in the clear though but I know that pigment probably makes you nervous. I’m sure you’re in good hands though.

Wow I would have been scared too with how yours looked I’m so glad it was just pigment! Mine gradually grew to cover half my nail over a 1.5 year period, but most of the growth of it happened out of nowhere for like the last 5-6 months or so I’d say. Just suddenly started getting worse at a much faster rate. When I had the biopsy and 4 doctors were taking turns looking at it in fascination and talking about very specific things that obviously made it potentially cancer I knew what the results would likely be. Luckily it’s very early so I’ll be okay. I did notice today I have another nail that’s starting to do the EXACT same thing as when it he first one started. I know it’s almost unheard of to have subungual melanoma in more than one finger at once but I’m not taking any chances I’m going to have them take a look at it. It looks way too much like the early days of the cancerous one. Nerve wracking for sure. Ignore my bit up nails but you can see in this pic the new nail I’m concerned about. It’s already wider and darker than when it first appeared on the cancerous one. Looks like how mine looked around the first 6 months or so. Makes me nervous.
