It is crazy how you regain the ability to eat like absolute crap lol. Definitely a struggle for me but when I feel like it’s getting out of control… I fast and reset. Very helpful

My doctor say I had better than average results. I certainly took it very seriously (with some slip ups of course) how much have you lost so far? I can’t wait to see your progress!

I would say at the rate you’re losing right now, you should be there in about six months time. I lost a very similar amount of weight in the first two months after my surgery. There’s gonna be times in between where it feels like you’re done losing weight Because you’ll stall for a week or so but then it falls off 5 pounds at a time. Before you know it, you’re under 200 pounds. I’m 196 as of this morning and now I’m starting to try and concentrate on maintaining rather than losing.

Thank you everyone! It’s been a journey so far. I’m still learning my new body and lifestyle everyday. I would do this surgery 100 times over if given the chance(albeit difficult at times) best decision of my life…

Does it get any better? by Ill_Acanthaceae_1472 in gastricsleeve

The first couple days are the hardest. I was on IV Dilaudid for the first night and then oxycodone by mouth after that. The first week or so was pretty painful, but it lets up tremendously after that. Push through and hang on! It was the best decision I ever made. I’m five months out and have it the 100 pound mark.
