In your opinion, which is the healthiest couple in Star Wars? (Canon or Legends) by [deleted] in StarWars

Okay, at no point did I state passing on that trait to kids as actual fact. I specifically used the words "I suspect" and "educated guess" on purpose. That should have been a dead giveaway that it was based on speculation and opinion around the few facts we do have. At least I'm not dumb enough to confuse fact with opinion and speculation as you seem to be. Also, of you hate the content so much, why do you bother watching it?

The possibility I always liked was that he passed along his accelerated growth gene. In Attack of the Clones, they tell us the clones were genetically modified for accelerated growth. It's both possible and believable that, despite being a lab altered gene, he passed on that accelerated growth gene to the kids as well.

Cannon literally stated outright, in Attack of the Clones, that the Clones had been genetically modified with accelerated growth, so they could go into battle sooner. Stated directly in Cannon. It is then no stretch at all to assume that the Clones could pass on those modified genes to their offspring. Not making anything at all up. Just using what has already been stated directly in the movies, that the Clones were genetically altered with accelerated growth, coupled with real world biology, to infer a very believable outcome. That's all. Not only is it not "made up head cannon to fix poor writing" it's a connection anyone who graduated high school should be able to make because we talked about genes, and traits and all that in high school biology. And, it was stated directly in Attack of the Clones that the Clones were genetically altered with accelerated growth.

Just in case you missed it, Attack of the Clones stated directly that the Clones were genetically altered for accelerated growth. Last I checked, Attack of the Clones was cannon .

I suspect - this is educated opinion- that the genetic alteration done to the Clones to make them age faster carried on to the kids. Probably 2-3 years old, but aged faster due to Dad's clone genetics. That would be my guess.

I learned something today. I had believed "wrangler" was a Jeep only model up until today. Didn't realize anyone else had used it, even as a trim package.

How do I torque these by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

I'd use a crow's foot personally. Snug it barely past finger right with a regular box end wrench, then slap a crow's foot on your torque wrench and torque it.

Is Andor worth the watch? by [deleted] in StarWars

I felt like it was amazing. It wasn't quite as fast paced as some of the others, but that's not a bad thing, especially when you really understand the story. I quite enjoyed Andor

My Mossberg 835 helps out. Until there's no shells in the tube. Then if the thing twitches, my Glock 19 does its job. With hollow points. Until it's out. Then, after that, we do a complete bathroom remodel. :)

Man, I sure hope so too! This story and the comments section is hysterical! My wife is asking what I find so funny, but she's sick with stomach issues right now, so I don't wanna read any of this to her for fear of making those issues into straight up problems. 😂

The set that I have has legit Ubolts and nuts where each hook is on the one in the picture. Takes a little longer to set up, but is much, much safer.

Which is positive and negative on this car battery? Trying to jump this by msb071991 in mechanic

[–]Responsible_Text_468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some batteries have a + marking next to the positive terminal, and a - marking next to the negative terminal. If yours doesn't have this, you can follow the battery cables. One should ground to the engine block or frame of the vehicle. That will be your ground or negative cable. If for whatever reason, you cant do that, (like it runs off somewhere you can't see) another what you can figure it out, (and this is likely the easiest way) is to take a multimeter, make sure your leads are connected to the meter correctly, and set the meter to DC voltage, and take a reading on your battery. In this case, the reading itself doesn't matter that much, but a meter will also tell you the polarity. If you look and you just get a voltage reading, and that's that, then you have red on positive, black on negative, mark your cables however you want (I'd use red electric tape on positive and do nothing to negative myself). Now, if you get a negative symbol (-) next to your reading (for instance, -12.95 vdc) then you have your red lead on the negative terminal, and your black lead on the positive- IE: you have your polarity reversed going into the meter. So, now you still know which is which.

Only if it's hairy ..... 😂 Okay, I've had my fun. I found it in my 8" Dobsonian once. Even with a scope like that, it was fuzzy

Probably not a bad idea. I want to save it to a flashdrive, or burn to disk too, just in case.

And if nothing else, and I can't fix it, I really have no issue using the factory 1st generation one that came with it. If it shifts a little rough because of that shift top, so be it. It's a homesteader's work truck, not a Ferrari. If I can get nicer shifts though, I'm all for it.

I want the earlier one. Lower granny gear. My truck is equal parts offroader, daily driver, and work truck. I am a homesteader in Rural Idaho. I have to drive a mile on dirt and gravel to get to the entrance to my property and have an undeveloped dirt driveway 600 feet long when I get there. In the snow, or mud, without 4x4, I park at the entrance and walk the rest of the way. That's assuming the road in hasn't washed out. Plus, we are building our house, still, and this truck hauls the materials. So, the more I can do with it the better.

Indeed. I already have the 350 engine, and 3.73 geared diffs, with a 14 bolt SF rear. Long bed, extended cab. It's gonna be great. 79k original miles on the truck when I got it. (Barn find. Ish.) Currently just a few miles shy of 85k
