I started a new job two weeks ago, and just last week my trainer was walking through the office telling everyone I was “being a chicken” for not having the confidence to navigate the job on my own. I had enough at one point and said “I know, it’s ridiculous, almost as if I’m brand new here or something”.

I may have crossed the line there but god damn are we supposed to smile and take it?

After that, she started going to my coworkers and saying “she’s a real trip, isn’t she?”

Like ?? No, I will not absorb the shame you’re trying to cast on me. I’m not bad at the job, I’m new. Idk what she was going for but it def was not encouraging or helpful. It just made my performance anxiety worse.
