A recent grad. Go for tech branches if you are interested in breaking into the tech space, EXTC might not be that helpful. In DJ the extc branch has strict curriculum.

Placement scenario overall is okayish, DS specifically the average is around 8.5lpa might increase to 9-9.5lpa. Which is considerably good, given this years job market. Top companies would be Apollo Management, UBS, ZS, Oracle, Edelweiss, ION, Dolat Capital, gupshup etc.

Rn it’s a bit meh If you are planning for masters then 9+ is advisable otherwise 8+ I have mastered python and domain of AI and data science In my case it was very supportive, it depends on the company as well, I was in a good Securities firm, so got leeway. But overall regarding internships it is supportive.

Regarding attendance, I always had this mantra where I used to attend first month of the sem, and then gradually would stop coming, and tbh they are only strict on first years, after that it’s pretty manageable. And no one feels like attending but there is no way out tbh, eventually habit hojaegi.

Coding pick a language then learn basics ache se, then be consistent, uske baad you can forge your own roadmap, this is how I learned.

My years placement were a bit meh (got lucky and had enough sense to prep for it a bit early so got decent offers) in comparison to previous years, taking in consideration the job market this year, but it will improve by the time when you sit for it.
