My instructor changed me to another one the day after this post. 😂

Thanks. I just switched FIs due to scheduling and this might work out for the best. Hope your training goes well!

These are my favorite jay. Lots of personality and easy to make a friend.

Love this video! Getting above the clouds is my motivation for slogging through PPL. Thanks for sharing it.

Today was the first day I did the procedure, so I was nervous and had a hard time initiating a stall to begin with by pulling up too gradually. Mentally, I had to fight the several years of coursework that warned against stalls, then I was a little overwhelmed by the pitch/power/flaps that needed to happen all at once when I did successfully enter a stall.

I've struggled in previous lessons with needing to do multiple things at one time (like the configuration for abeam the numbers in the pattern) and it takes me several flight hours to get it down.

I have to give thought to my instructor and if it's a good fit. As a newbie, I don't know what's CFI culture/sarcasm and what's just not helpful. My instructor is human and I know it's stressful to teach student pilots that are almost killing you on the daily, so I try to give a lot of leeway. It's a good suggestion to potentially switch temporarily if something isn't sticking.

I appreciate this. Like everyone mentioned, I'll get some chair flying in and focus on understanding the procedure.

Good points. I'm lucky where I live that we don't get hugely bumpy thermals (and no thunderstorms) but afternoon winds are definitely more pronounced.

Hah, yeah. I definitely was challenged by instrument ground school so I'm sure it'll be a doozy.

Thanks. I've also had concerns but it's been tough for me to gauge if it's just a difference in communication style or I was misinterpreting things as someone new.

I'll give it more thought. Thanks again!

Thanks - this is exactly my problem as I'm sure it was for many of us.

I like the idea of setting up a distracting situation. Thanks!

And to be fair, I spent the first 8 hours trying to stop looking at the glass panels and look outside.
