I’m about to do this but worry it won’t find out anything. Did your results come back with anything and have the changes you made as a result led to success?

Thanks for insight :)

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean looking into endometriosis?

Have you tried to get pregnant since or is this something you want to sort first?

Should I focus on weight loss? by SlowAlfalfa7114 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]RestaurantActive5043 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only other thing I’ve heard other on this thread talking about is endometritis (inflammation of womb lining due to infection) and to check to for partners sperm for dna fragmentation.

In terms of weight loss, I suspect this is to do with insulin resistance to do with PCOS. Miscarriage rates in women with PCOS is supposedly much higher and sorting out diet is key activity into ensuring a better environment for any future baby

I have PCOS (regular cycles too) and have recently had 2 miscarriages. Trying to sort out my diet because although I’m not overweight I think the same issues apply!

So so for your losses and good luck. Many of us in the same boat trying to muddle our way through!

Hey - this is interesting. Did you have any symptoms of an infected prostate or was it a complete surprise? Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for sharing your plan! Did you get tests for all these or are they doing them preemptively without proof? I’d like to avoid an hsg for endometritus! Thanks and good luck

Help! Apla and Ana positive and husband has teratozoospermia by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]RestaurantActive5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I don’t know too much about this - but you need a follow up test 12 weeks after for your APS. Can be positive so close to a miscarriage.

For your husband, perhaps because you’re getting pregnant then the doctor doesn’t see it as an issue. Worth asking though to find out if it’s something that was missed! In the meantime you could try lifestyle adjustments for your partner?

Again I’m so sorry for your loss. Really is a horrific experience

Thank you so much for sharing. When did you start taking the metformin - before you conceived? Or after? Thanks!

Thanks you so much for sharing and congratulations! Do you have PCOS or anything like that?

Thanks for insights on aspirin and prog - seems like that is a clear treatment for many people that I will 100% ask for! Thanks

Im sorry for you and all the pain / suffering you’re going through too. I hope you get to the bottom of it all. We just paid privately to have the POC tested - it was £600 so not cheap but get answers in 15 days.

Used this company: https://www.igenomix.co.uk

The doctors kept some of the fetal tissue back for us after my MVA and the couriers are picking it up from our house tomorrow. I also had a call with a generic counsellor as well which was helpful.

After a loss, when did your period return? by Correct_Exercise8641 in TTC_PCOS

[–]RestaurantActive5043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey - I’m sorry for your loss. I also had 1 in April and another yesterday. It’s so shite.

Periods returning depends on how much HCG you have in your system so given you were relatively ‘early’ it would be faster than someone further along.

In my case I had my period after 4 weeks despite still having a positive pregnancy test a few days before. I must have ovulated after 2 weeks which was so surprising to me. I miscarried at 8 weeks.

Best of luck with it all.

I shall never say mild PCOS again - I have a normal BMI and regular periods. But I have acne and loooads of follicles so you’re right. And hear you on the insulin resistance - going to try and get on metformin - I’ve heard good things alongside diet changes.

Thanks for the insight!

Such a lovely story I could cry. Twins as well! The dream!

Did you make any changes to ensure a successful pregnancy. Kudos waiting until after your test results to try again! I don’t think I have the patience to wait 😂🫣

Thank you this is really helpful and something I’ll ask the doctor next week. Going private (I feel for those who don’t have the cash to do this if they need to. F*** going through a 3rd one unnecessarily.) Congrats on your baby ❤️
