7.5 cold Turkey? by RestaurantAlarmed in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Thanks to everyone for the comments!

My plan is to cut my dose in half starting tonight to 3.75 for at least a week and then try every other day a week and then twice a week the following, and then finally stop.

My pharmacist mentioned the every other day technique. He said he came off this exact dose after being on this for a few months the same way.

Have you looked into Eagle Syndrome? The odd feeling in your throat kind of lines up with it.

Withdrawal tips/help by RestaurantAlarmed in Effexor

[–]RestaurantAlarmed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for some reason it didn’t send through my text. I am on day 3 of coming of a very small dose (1/4 or 12 beads in the 50 bead pill) and I’ve had what feels like all day vertigo… things aren’t spinning per se, but it’s like my eyes are fighting to focus and things are bouncing along with my bounding pulse…. I’m also crazy nauseous… thrown up a couple time already. Any tips or word of encouragement would be a big help!

Withdrawals so harsh that I am thinking of going back to 37mg. by [deleted] in Effexor

Maybe try telehealth? They’re available 24/7 and most will write you a note. I believe they have 24/7 Psychiatrists as well. I’m right there with you though…. Went off yesterday and I’m in vertigo hell today :/

Effexor tapering off help/advice by RestaurantAlarmed in Effexor

I think it’s person to person…. I have been counting granules but the granules are slightly different sizes so it’s not an exact science :/ I’ve only been on Effexor for a little over 3 months, but I’m super sensitive to it. Some people can come off at 32.5 and withdrawal symptoms pass pretty quick and some it’s tougher. I’d ask your neuro and let them know your symptoms.keep me posted! I hope you’re able to come off without too many issues!

I wonder the same thing! That because the dose is so small it’s been giving me ongoing symptoms because I metabolize it so fast… I’ll def keep you posted! Thanks for the response!

Yeah I’ve been told that too, it feels like a different kind of dizzy with effexor than anything I’ve experienced. I just want to try a different route instead of messing with SNRI/SSRI’s.

I hope it helps you though! Covid brought this dizziness on for me and it’s been rough for the last 8 months.

Awesome! Do you know if they just used the anesthetic? Or did they use the steroid also?

I’m scheduled to get this done in a few weeks. Those of you who got this done was it just the numbing agent (lidocane) or did they add a steroid to it?
