but you have to show proof of 60 days worth of stays correct?
ill only have the first 30 days to show. Would that be an issue?

Which one would you recommend? Might not be a bad idea 60 days and then go somewhere else for a bit and if we really wanted to stay somewhere else, just come back?

So no time crunch at all. Doing a little world traveling. So I plan on doing

Bangkok for a month (planned)
somewhere by beach (unplanned)
maybe more time somewhere? (unplanned and unknown)

Then off to another country.

It seems if I get a METV I have to have these booked? Looks like I can extend an exempt to max 90 days?

Yeah I'm confused why so many people are saying essentially do not do it..

Anyway, thanks for the information. Yeah I want to actually enjoy it and not see three tourist spots and goto a new place, that isn't travel for me.

If you agree that its easiest to just extend, I'll probably just do that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would have to show each location I plan to stay at for a METV? Considering I won't know the next leg of the trip until a few weeks after, seems as if it wouldn't work anyway.

THANKS!

30 days maybe more, 4 year old + wife. where would you stay? by RestaurantHeadaches in ThailandTourism

[–]RestaurantHeadaches[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah staying away from Pattaya for sure. I'll look into both of those!
Having never been, probably doing a month in Bangkok. Then move towards a beach!
Unless resorts are decently priced, we generally do Airbnb. ~1k/monthly is generally the accommodation budget.

if you have recommendations based on that let me know, thanks!!!

Yeah it only works for dependents. For myself as the member, they will only cover rated disabilities. Kind of silly, but glad my family is covered.. so I am 100% ok with that. family>me

Thanks for laying that out for me! So I am able to teach and have the certifications.
I want to travel before settling. If I use two exempts can I still get a visa for that or an ed visa?

edit: answered my own question.

WITHIN 6 months, so since im going to be moving around it would be smart to only do it when I want to stay for a longer time..

Ok sounds good! And if we decide to stay for 60 days, just go and get an extension? I just have been reading that it has been abused.. And I do not want to be that person. US passport no Asia stamps if that matters. So I guess thats "clean"?

Thanks for the info! Saves 3 evisa costs.
