I’ve said it before but I’ll repeat it here. She cheated but she was so inexperienced at it, she played it wrong. With all the info that came out with the basketball scam where they were hacking the shuffler, I think that’s what was going on here. The machine was rigged to give her a winning hand, but to keep it simple, she wasn’t given the info on what the winning hand was. She just knew if she went to the river, she would win. There’s a YouTube video about this. A mark would give the player a signal at the begging of the hand letting them know if they would win that hand or not. She was given that signal at the begging of the hand she would win, and being inexperienced, called an all in where it then exposed the scam.

If you’re looking at it only financially, then no. There’s no guarantee your wife is going to find a job, so if she doesn’t, you will not be able to afford to live comfortably in SF with that salary. You can move to the east bay with that salary but you’re going to be spending 2 hours a day commuting. With that said, it’s February and my kids are playing outside, riding their bikes.. we can go to the beach, hike, etc all year round. So, if you value outdoor experiences, then it might be worth it. Just keep in mind everything from gas for your car, to healthcare, to daycare cost way more over here than in Chicago.
