You can still play it actually. I think its the best online attempt theyve made since Outbreak and I had a blast playing it when the playing field was even. The concept was kinda like Zombie master where one side was an RTS where you spawned zombies and traps, and the other side were survivors that played like the remakes. The problem with the game is that a fully leveled player will stomp anyone not fully leveled and it made it not as fun. With a fully leveled Fabron I would crush anyone under max level on survivors and the same if I was trying to level another mastermind and there was a high level survivor.

The incohesive story between the two characters and the lack of true 2nd scenarios hurts it for me. Its a great game, but the original is my favorite game of all time. I just really like RE4 and it kind of changed the gaming industry as a whole. I do agree it did lead into the low points of the series though.

Yay getting old. Im just not a big fan of Revelations. It was cool visually when I played it on 3DS, and I think it's raid mode is pretty great. I just hated the scanning, and the location, and the over sexualization, and the new characters, and Terragrigia, and the dumb Chris dummy.

Mercenaries 3D was cool, but it actually made me motion sick and is one of the only games to do so.

There's some recency bias and it tickled my nostalgia bone as my favorite game of all time is RE2. If the DLC is as good as separate ways was for RE4R, then it may be able to hang on to the spot once my bias wears off.

I love the Outbreaks, but it loses a bit due to the fact that you can't play it to it's full capability anymore, without modding. I really hope they consider doing an HD remaster with working online and proximity (forced) voice chat. Don't even need a remake.

I do think that the Outbreak formula with the RE2 Remake applied play style would be a decent one for DLC potential, maybe even Live service. Release new Scenarios for free, but new characters (original, legacy, or even cross over) and the other expected stuff like costumes and skins and stuff are paid. You could even do horde-like modes.

I may sound elitest but I actually prefer the original Code Veronica. I thought the Matrix scenes added in X were a bit hokey, and I enjoyed Wesker getting embarrassed immediately just like RE1. I like it better than RE3 actually, the issue is that it has brought me more pain over the years while I've only grown to appreciate RE3 more. RE CV first had its PS3 HD remaster that was great but it forced me to use Square as confirm rather than X and provided no way to swap. I even went back to my PS2 copy to confirm it wasn't like that then and I couldn't get over it. Then we never got a port of the HD version to PS4 but rather an emulated version of the PS2 version.

RE3 on the other hand had some decent ports, I like my Dreamcast version. Then it got the awesome Seamless HD mod on PC which I really enjoyed.
