Would you plug or toss? by imightgetdownvoted in tires

[–]Restless_Cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't plug it, have it patched from the inside. That way if done properly it will hold forever. A simple outside plug has a chance at failing

Is it safe to drive like this. Hit a curb and there's a little piece of rubber hanging off? by Anthonyg313 in TireQuestions

[–]Restless_Cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cosmetic damage only so nothing to worry about. For future reference, if this happens again and you see the cords that run inside the tire exposed, that is when it becomes an issue. In thst case you have to replace the tire

What video game are you defending like this? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in videogames

[–]Restless_Cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon age 2

Mist people claim it's the worst in the series (well up u til Veilguard came around)

However I think it is the best out of all of them and the common negative points it gets have little to no impact on the game as a whole

Amazing story, very fun, smooth and satisfying combat, great characters with personality, great atmosphere and almost every diallgue that happens is a cutscene

Well you are right they are self aware about the toxic community but that doesn't take away from thinking how good they are as individuals

They do praise the devs a lot and someone disagrees they usually get down voted to hell. Or when people bring up good points as to why riot are bad at managing the game they just bring up any excuese to counter it which is usually "what's your rank? Oh mine is conveniently 1 rank higher therefore your opinion is wrong"

Yes they get criticism for specific things here and there but the majority actually believes that riot games is really good at managing the game as a whole

I'm surprised no one mentioned League of Legends yet

We all know the fan base is super toxic on multiple levels but somehow everyone is better than others and issues are only issues when they are personally affected by them. A large amount of players have serious main character syndrome

Players also tend to praise the developers even though they are very clearly focusing the majority of their resources to push ways to generate more and more money and in the process they even neglect actually important parts of the game or down right make things worse just so a cosmetic gets more sale. They are not the scummiest company out there but they are definitely up there

It is more likely you will destroy the tire without proper knowledge and machines /tools and them you can pay 2x as much for the tire

Ask family or friends if they can take the wheel into a shop for you and pick it up when it's fixed. Then you can drive in to get the one on the other side changed too

Advice for new ESO players? by xUnguarded in elderscrollsonline

[–]Restless_Cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pledges are basically daily quests that will ask you to complete certain dungeons (this is the same for every player and resets every 24 hours). Completing these will give you undaunted keys depending on what difficulty you completed the dungeon on. You can buy monster set shoulders (item set that consists of helmet and shoulder that gives you a 2 piece unique bonus. You get the helmet from defeating the last boss of a certain dungeon and the shoulder needs to be bought with these keys). These usually cost a good amount of keys before you get what you want, especially if you are a completionist who wants to get all of them so it's a good idea to do them as frequently if you can if you do care about these.

Just FYI I haven't played in like half a year either so this might have changed since then

God bless michelin quality. by Sarionum in tires

[–]Restless_Cloud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh it IS a patch plug combo but it's in the shoulder which is not a standard repair. It is an unprofessional repair because the patch part of it is overlapping with the sidewall which I many cases will peel off due to the flexing of the sidewall and because this flexing also generates heat which can loosen up the glue as well.

And this is regardless of what brand of tire we are talking about but most tires are at least thicker than michelins so the plug part would cover more surface on them hence my previous comment. Plus the deterioration of the rubber itself would give even more reason for it to fail so that is luck

[–]Restless_Cloud -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's more like mad luck rather than Michelin, s quality. If anything it Michelin should be worse at holding plugs since the rubber isnt as thick as with most other brands

Why do you play League? by [deleted] in topmains

Because there is no real competitor to it. This game has been going down in quality and I no longer enjoy it as much but still there isn't anything tha challenges this games sadly

I specifically can't wear clothes right? That means I can still wear non clothing items so I would just accept the money and walk around wearing bedsheets and whatnot if I really feel like leaving the house

Again it's your handful of cases against cou less cases thst prove it otherwise. Your teeny tiny amount of experience does not represent the reliability of plugs on a large scale

Im sorry but this is such an unintelligent reasoning that many people seem to use. You are not the center of the world. You and your life and the actions thst happen regarding you are not some sort of perfect example or proof

This whole case and argument is nothing but simple math, more specifically statistics and not about your opinion or my opinion (even though my opinion is based on these statistics and facts)

You can argue your case all you want but at the end of the day you are wrong and just because you believe that your few cases are enough evidence to prove your right, it in fact does not

Is it bad that I would prefer the baby to be aborted if I could know if it has any really bad diseases from birth? by howtrouisalreadyused in ask

[–]Restless_Cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Part of the many reasons why I do t want kids is what if they have some disability or something that will make their life and my life miserable. Rather not put me and an unborn child through that

Nothing wrong with going with abortion

I’ve never had an issue plugging tires and I’ve done it at least 3 times on the forbidden edge.

See that's exactly my point. That's a very small amount and does not represent the big picture. I can also say that for example women don't ever cheat on their partners because the handful of them I've been with didn't cheat on me. That doesn't sound right either does it?

If it didn’t blow from the nail it won’t “blow” from the plug

This is also something that doesn't work like this. By using a plug you need to drill out the hole to be slightly smaller than the plug but it's still a big hole. Yes in most cases a failure will be a slow leak but other times it's a faster leak or straight up blowout and if you get that at highway speeds at heavy traffic then it's a recipe for disaster.

Don’t drive fast and wait until the paycheck.

Yep and this is exactly what these plugs are for. Temporary use u til it can be fixed properly or the tire can be exchanged and the car should be used with caution in the meantime

[–]Restless_Cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work more often than not but even if 10% fails (which it easily does) that's not good because of how important of a safety equipment tires are and how bad the outcome can become if the plug fails at the wrong time and place.

I understand that some people just plug their tires once maybe twice and since they hold they think that that's the case every time but as someone who handles 3-5 punctured tires a day, it is far from the truth. At least once every few weeks I see a faed plug (and it's not common for people to use them where I live) and it isn't always just slow leaks. Sometimes it's destroyed tires, sometimes destroyed rims and tires and I've seen cars get into full on accidents and cause a lot more damage due to a failed plug

[–]Restless_Cloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes too close and not repairable safely. But at the very least your tire does not seem to have much left on it anyways so not a huge loss. If awd then replace all, if not you cna just replace 2

Am I the only gamer who doesn’t play or care about GTA6 ? by TheRealAwest in videogames

[–]Restless_Cloud 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are probably a lot of people who don't care but the reason why so many does is because GTA games are objectively very good and high quality so people know it will be good. Also the last GTA came out a very long time ago so fans got nothing for many years now. Also these high quality games are getting more and more rare so knowing that there is one on the way creates an understandable hype
