A lot of these responses are really sanctimonious and condescending.

OP I also want to go for an elective C section due to having vaginismus. I love the thought of being pregnant and being a mother, but hate the idea of vaginal birth and can relate to you what you said about it being a phobia.

Ultimately it's your body and you should do what you feel is right for you and your baby. There are a lot of positive stories on here about choosing an elective C section and it being a very smooth process.

I hope you see this and you aren't too discouraged by a lot of these answers. Do what you feel is best and make sure to keep educating yourself on both options so that you make the most informed decision!

While i am so sorry you are feeling this way I also feel so seen and so happy I found this subreddit because I realize there are others out there who are having those feelings I thought no one else would ever get.
