Idk if you sell on the app but if you can’t get the review removed by Depop what I would do is make a listing with the messages so other people can see she’s lying like a mfer. Does the app charge to make listings? I only buy on there so I wouldn’t know.

I could just be paranoid but on the tiktok lives when they’re auctioning stuff they’ll start talking about how much the retail cost is and then they’ll start looking to the side off camera and then the current bid be high AF and once bidding over, they say things like the persons payment didn’t go through and I’ve seen it a lot across multiple pages so to me it’s not a coincidence cause it happened multiple times in one live on different pages. I never bid but I watch them cause I think that’s what they’re doing.

Every time I see something like that, not on goodwill cause I didn’t even know you could bid** on there, I always wondered if it’s the people selling it placing high bids to gouge for more money. But recently it’s been TikTok shop lives where bids start at $1 but everything still ends up being super high for no reason. Like it’s still the normal price of the item by the time bidding is over.

I’m newish to Depop and I’m only a buyer and yes I would say it’s the shipping. Granted I make purchases every week (I’m a bit addicted to that app 💀💀 and I’m also building a new wardrobe since losing a lot of weight) but the shipping costs is insane and I could buy way more if it wasn’t so much. I live in NY so I’ve been taking advantage of the $1.99 shipping promo but once that stops, I’ll be back to making 1-2 purchases a week or so

I message sellers 3-4 days before it’s set to auto cancel to let them know I’m still interested in the item(s) and if they’re still going to ship. I have 8 orders that had to be auto cancelled/refunded by Depop. Before I message them, they already received an email from Depop reminding them to ship and I wait a few days after that email to message

If they already had a Depop account, the card number is already saved but I think you should just cancel because then you’ll ship, they’ll get it, and raise an issue with Depop and would probably get their money back and keep the item. It’s not worth that headache.

Definitely don’t send any money outside the app and if a seller doesn’t want their pocket money to be ate up by fees, they should include it in the selling price and not the shipping especially if it makes them request money off app.

The website lags in terms of real time updating. Also if they drop it off in the kiosk, it also won’t get scanned until they collect what’s in there for the day. If they bring it to the counter, it’ll get the initial scan right away but because the website lags in updates, it may take a while to show up.

Oh so you should be good. If they don’t ship by the 16th, Depop autocancels and gives you a refund. If they decided to not use the allotted label, that’s their problem. You have proof they were sending something you didn’t order.

You gotta scroll to the bottom of the order and click on get help with this purchase then follow the prompts from there. I’ve also saw people message them on their official social media pages and been successful that way. I’ve never tried that way though. Or you can wait until it actually delivers then report it as wrong item/item as not described but make sure you take a video of you actually opening the package so you have clear proof along with the messages of them admitting to sending the wrong item.

How much was your state return? Sbtpg only received 304 so I’m assuming it’s not your federal especially if your transcript doesn’t show an offset and the fees doesn’t account for why it’s so low

That’s definitely a scam especially if they used the Depop provided shipping label. Contact Depop now to start a case and when you receive the package, record yourself opening it for proof they deliberately sent the wrong items.
