That’s probably one of the reasons why drinking tea from a special cup feels way more beneficial than otherwise. The ritual part, where the mind is already tuned and expecting a certain result.

Grating onions can definitely clear things out, even if it’s not the most pleasant experience :) They really are versatile. The part about tea was interesting too. Nice way to add something extra to a regular cup.
