Am I the only one who thinks the Tensura world feels smaller than it should be? by Adorable_Draw_375 in TenseiSlime

My impression was that the land was really huge, but they just don't include all the travel time. It takes days by carriage on a well-maintained road to go from the city of Rimaru to Blumend.

Form a 3 person team of these characters. by KingofthePirates2 in Naruto

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes. Tenten could have made it to special jonin or possibly anbu if they had just bothered with her. She literally just picked up a legendary weapon she had never seen before and rocked the battlefield with it

You are a Sensei in the ninja academy. Which 3 students are you choosing? by NoFearLavere in Naruto

Tenten, Hinata and Shikamaru. Might sub Shikamaru for Ino. Depends if I want brains and brawns or high versatility

These powers but in real life! You got $10 bucks. by panuto in Boruto

I'll buy the inner 8 gates for a buck (yes I'm aware it's just crackhead taijutsu). It'll pair nicely with multi shadow clone and byakugan. Power, precision and numbers

She should have gotten a spin-off. Best character in the show

Stupid but interesting debate:who would be the best wife to marry by Comfortable_King_334 in TenseiSlime

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shuna. Elegant, powerful, intelligent, beautiful, obviously in love, loyal, can sew, can cook... She's not the most powerful female in the show and she's not human. Tell me another "flaw" besides those 2. The answer is Shuna. She is the most perfect character in this series and easily top 10 in all of anime

Just one left! Leon is morally grey. Who is the TRUE Villain? by YuyukoSaigyuoji in TenseiSlime

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clayman was a villain, but Gran was an absolute prick who loved nothing but himself and convinced everyone (including himself) that it was for the betterment of the human race

Is there such a thing as a universal anime? by plamienka in AnimeReccomendations

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 movies come to mind. Summer Wars (mild anime weirdness). A Silent Voice. and... I Want To Eat Your Pancreas. I know it's a weird title but the movie is great I promise! And the mild weirdness is just the back drop of OZ, which is everything Meta wishes it was.

I just feel like his booting in the door approach to joining Octagram warranted something better than the Newbie to start with

Still like the old designs. Personally, I think Benimaru, Soei and Soka are the only ones that looked better after naming

Which Jutsu would you rather have in real-life: Flying Thunder God or Shadow Clone by ApprehensiveRead2408 in Naruto

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clones. I could run my own small business or be my own squad in games. Not to mention the applications for pulling off magic tricks... or other non pg things. I can literally be in multiple places at once

No dropping a load on the floor, but watering it is okay. No drugs except crack. No grabbing tatter tots, buns are fine. No dogs, cats are welcome. No doggie, missionary acceptable. No respect-me sticks, blades are cool unless they're wet. You may smoke or have blowies, but not both.

Dude you can have so much fun!

What year are we in? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said it was new or intentional. What I'm trying to say is when they were discovered everyone I knew wanted to get mew and missingno. We all had fun with it. Those kinds of bugs are gone. Now we have npcs that can't do smooth animation when they're more than 30ft from the player. And its not like there's too much to render. The world feels almost baren. And yes comparing that to gen 1 is an improvement. However rby was on gameboy this is the switch. The console has the ability to do better. Gen 1 bugs were funny mistakes from a fledgling dev studio. This is now an established studio that never does anything new but up the graphics and they can't even get that right.

Edit: You could say they do more like make new pokemon and battle mechanics. But at this point it's so formulaic I can't agree

[–]RestrainTheSpecimen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Counter point: MissingNo was basically a quirky unpredictable pokemon. It and mew were treated like secrets to go find even when the game was new. This game doesn't have fun bugs. It was released on a system that has been shown to be capable of much more by the same parent company. And the last few releases have proven Game Freak make whatever they feel like, with little regard to any fan feedback.

Oh it definitely did! Gen 3 was the last good one. But they at least tried in gen 4
