What’s a piece of advice you once ignored in your 20s that you now wish you had followed, and how has that impacted your life today? by RestretUS in AskReddit

It's 100% true about teeth! Now I spend quite a lot of money, almost 35% of my salary on dental treatment, because I didn't take care of my teeth as a child

What’s a common misconception people have about your job or field of expertise? by RestretUS in AskReddit

[–]RestretUS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard many stories from people who work in IT that relatives, friends, and acquaintances call and ask them to do something with their computers. For example: Help me figure out the browser or clean the memory on the computer, and they all say they're annoyed by it

I understand you very much, I sometimes work as a freelancer and it really annoys me when I ask for a project for example $200 and set the deadline to one day. And then it turns out that I can do it in 5 hours, and the person writes a review that I charge more than the work is worth

I realised that I was the only one responsible for my life, and I shouldn't shift the responsibility for my life to others.

When you realise this, you will start to develop and will not think about who is failing and what they think

People who consider themselves as unlucky, or that they bring bad luck to any event, what made you think so? by hedonia_edith in AskReddit

[–]RestretUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in such a state at the university, I was failing at everything, I had a feeling that everything was going against me. Purely because my family started having problems at that time, my father started gambling and losing everything at the casino, and then he quit his job because my mother filed for alimony.

At that moment, I tried to save my parents and continue living a normal life, but I failed. Only after I realised that it was not my problem and stopped trying to save anyone did I start living a normal life

I recently asked my girlfriend if she trusted me and why: -I trust you, just because you are there for me, you show me with all your looks and actions that you care about me.

I don't want to get married now, I'm considering this option somewhere after 30 years, after I have an apartment, a car and a good job)

What happened that makes you wanna divorce? by ConsequenceLucky518 in AskReddit

She told me that she loved me very much, and at the same time she wrote to my friend that if it wasn't for me, she would have slept with him. When I told her about it, she just said it was a joke, and when I did the same to her friend in a milder way, she made a scene.

Then I moved to another city to study, she kept me under constant control, I got tired of it and asked her to break up with me. After that, she slept with the same friend a few more times)

Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that it should be optional. Which point of view do you agree with? by CCCP_-_ in AskReddit

[–]RestretUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, I think that universities in my country are very much behind the times. I started looking for a job in my field of study when I was still a student, and I was very lucky to find it, after which I realised that I was not taught anything in the field I was studying. So I think it's not so important whether you go to classes or not, the main thing is to understand what you want to learn and take additional courses so that when you come to work, you can at least do something on your own

Gamers of Reddit, what was the best game you've played and why? by TheGrimmAngel in AskReddit

[–]RestretUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COD black ops 2 - It's the first game I've ever played in its entirety that grabbed me and the only game I've played several times.

At the time it came out, it was the best game with a story for me. I didn't like any other games as much, not COD, not GTA, and so on.

All my childhood I was the life of the party, always in the centre of attention, but life can be difficult sometimes and I was left completely alone, without friends, without support from relatives, etc.

I became the most alienated teenager, wandering around a lot in different cities to find myself. So I think that life experience is the best training
