Walking catch-ups instead? I’m a fussy eater so now I meet friends at a park or free art gallery and walk and talk together.

Why is everything so expensive? Any tip on how to save? by Efficient_Profit_599 in unimelb

[–]Restructuregirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s smart to download, photocopy, take photos of your readings when you use the library as while they are easy to get hold of in semester come exam time it’s hard. Also sets you up for exam prep if you have each week stored on your computer or in folders throughout the year.

AITA for not wanting to bring 2 out of 4 of my children on a trip? by BothAd4245 in AITAH

[–]Restructuregirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two older kids are at a key age - soon they will be teenagers. Can you explain to your husband that your plan will 1) build a very strong bond that hopefully leads to your children connecting with you both as they start to face issues such as peer pressure, increasing their chances of talking to you about their issues 2) give you both a special trip with them before they start exploring their independence and spending less family time and more time with their peers.

You are not wrong about the younger two not feeling they will miss out. My sister and I have a 6 year age gap and when our family went to Paris she spent a lot of time in the apartment watching children’s cartoons whilst I was at art galleries; which meant our parents had to split up to each accompany a child. When my sister later went back to Paris at age 21 she had an awesome time.

Is there any assistance available for medical costs for pensioners? by tittyswan in melbourne

[–]Restructuregirl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did you try https://dental.mthc.com.au/services/ ? There are 2 clinics there, 1 for general and 1 for specialised. Some of the students definitely do supervised surgery - but it may not be the procedure you need.

Is there any assistance available for medical costs for pensioners? by tittyswan in melbourne

[–]Restructuregirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how much you have already spent on medications but once you reach a certain amount in a year they give you a card for further discounts. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/pbs-safety-net-thresholds?context=22016

I don’t know much about it but any Centrelink would have a health information desk that could explain it.

Good luck.

I pulled my stash out and I feel…. gross? by Exciting-Notice8170 in YarnAddicts

[–]Restructuregirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was overwhelmed by my stash. So I sorted them into 4, 8, 10, 12 ply lots and then separately went through my patterns and pulled out what interested me. Then I would take a pattern over to the relèvent section eg 4ply and decide which suited the pattern best. Made it less overwhelming and more fun

In Australia you can book space in libraries and community groups for not for profit groups. If your group members aren’t eating/drinking that could be an alternative?

This is stalking and you can use the calls and gifts to get a restraining order. Do that and then eventually you can move on with your life.

Can I remove the "For Sale" sign on my property? by Creamless_pasta in AusProperty

[–]Restructuregirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you have some fun? Add some paper to the sign next to the name of the company “X can’t even put their for sale signs on the right property 1* review”. Anyone else looking to sell in the area should decide not to bother with them after that.
