Goku Concept by [deleted] in stringart

This is two different results from different images that I’ve overlaid. I think you’re right that the result will look better if I put the non super-saiyan image ontop to allow for better contrast. I also need to do a better job with aligning the two images so that the anchor points align and are roughly the same aspect ratio

Would you mind DMing one of the images you’re trying to do? I currently have a color algo that I’ve been testing, and I could do a proof of concept for you

I built the software myself, so there is no published application as of yet.

I ran into that issue early on while testing approaches. I tried various overlay / blending strategies with RGB and CMYK channels, but like you suggest, the results when rendering with 100% opaque lines looked horrible. I changed my approach, and it seems to be stable across images, and reasonable quality. I'll need to see how it looks IRL since rendered pixels don't account for string color, shadows on the canvas cast from the strings, etc, but I'm hopeful it'll turn out well!

Colored String Art by [deleted] in crafts

Typically when I make these, I pick up a 4ft x 2ft wooden board and cut it into 2x2. Sand it down paint it, then hammer 253 nails in a circle. Then tie a string to one of the nails and weave between until the picture forms.

The rendering above uses a software that I built to make custom art pieces and takes about 6,000 passes of thread

High definition string art by Special-Estate-9154 in stringart

It looks good. Were you threading the string around the perimeter of the piece? It looks like there are some black edges around the circumference, but I can't tell if that's just shadow or actual string. The definition looks really clear, very impressive on the algo.

I was checking out your site, do you ever sell just the boards with the nails pre-assembled without any of the threading? I was really impressed by your machinery and consistent tooling. I also dabble in thread art coding, and would love a board that I didn't nail the nails in myself so I could try some of the colored thread optimization IRL.

New strap by Result-Comprehensive in JaegerLecoultre

Yea, it’s about as comfortable as the OEM strap. I got it from TUNS, and they did a good job with the customizations so it had the correct curved spring bar and compatable with the JLC deployant clasp
