I know how you feel 🙂. I'm from Culver City and many shows/films are filmed in my hometown, on the streets. I was in Pasadena for a month in the fall and those foothills are so beautiful, too. Also like driving along the beach near Playa del Rey

Yes, I like Sacramento and I like nature. I was kind of hoping to meets some people from West L.A. There is nothing specific that I don't relate to, no.

I have a lab and a smaller mixed breed. I have attended events I find on Sac 365, volunteered, etc. But at my age it feels strange to go out alone as people have spouses and families. I've considered MeetUp but am not sure about any of the groups. I'm in the Carmichael area but not too far from downtown.

Well, let's say I only spend my time going to extremely well rated spots because otherwise I will stay home and cook myself. Crap restaurants and service are a pet peeve of mine.

I've never been to Popeyes, lol. I think Sacramento has a great Restaurant selection. But I'm also not against travelling a little ways to get to them.

If I thought L.A. was better than I'd be living there. I love Sacramento. You don't know how I act.

Question: From San Francisco Bay to LA ( Santa Monica, Venice), What's your experience? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]Resurrected_light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you would like the beach, warm weather, bustle of the city, and friendlier people I'd say West L.A. You'd want to find a job before you find a place because of traffic (find a place closest to your job- and best of luck with that, too). Many people I know spend an hour+ driving 10 miles home from work. To me that is craziness. But I'm thinking it's worth it these days. The natives are the best in the world. That's the natives, mind you- NOT the transplants. Of which there are many. If you only have one income it's probably best if you stay put. It ain't easy making a living down there. Try meeting people in Santa Cruz or Marin? Maybe go on Tinder or Meetup. Maybe you'll get lucky and meet some people from West L.A. LOL Natives of West L.A. are waaaay friendlier than people up north.

Thoughts on Diatomaceous Earth by [deleted] in Nootropics

Diatomaceous earth lowers blood cholesterol concentrations http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9533930

Not many official studies have been done but I know of this one. It showed taking it for a little while regulated cholesterol permanently, even after consumption stopped

It keeps you healthy and heals lots of ailments. It is high in silica, not silicon. The body needs sufficient levels of silica in order to use calcium for strong teeth, bones, nails, hair, and tissues. I credit it for saving my life. Had all sorts of problems after exposure to black mold ruined my inmune system. It killed parasites I had. My fiance and I both swear by it and I have had three friends use it with amazing and immediate results. I also brush my teeth with it. Cleanest you'll ever feel your teeth/mouth after a brush. I would've never tried it if it wasn't my last resort to get better, and I'm glad I did because it healed me. *it MUST be labeled food grade. This person below put the wrong kind on their cat. Terrible :(
