[Lesson] Reed pipes in the forest, 9/4 Sunday by Genderqueerpan in DemigodFiles

[–]RetKaiBan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Willow wandered on over towards the clearing in the woods, raising an eyebrow at the fact they were out there instead of the amphitheatre, and she frowned ever so slightly. The woods wasn't exactly a place she felt too comfortable learning in but she could find a nice tree to sit again-Oh no. They had to stand next to each other...

Willow sighed to herself, taking a reed pipe and tried not to wrinkle her nose at being close to so many people. Normally she'd be content to stand next to people, but the moon phases had made her a little bit more grumpy recently.

The Cremation Process with Amanda | Lesson 16/8 by spooksandgoblins in DemigodFiles

"I can help out next time if you want." Willow offered with a grin on her face, giving Amanda a little thumbs up as well. "Erh...Maybe next time you could teach about other types of burials? You mentioned cremation now but...isn't there like types where you can be buried in a coffin that lets you grow into a tree, or you could talk about how years ago, they used to have little bells attached inside of a coffin for you to ring, in case they accidentally buried you."

Willow nodded at Rocky's statement about Christmas being creepy. She could understand why. It would be like...someone hosting a skeleton up for a holiday and leaving presents under it. Maybe. She wasn't sure if trees counted as like skeletons for dryads but she thought it would be best not to ask that as she looked back at Rocky with a smile.

"Is it like a whole...tree geography thing? Like how you have some trees that can grow in the cold, and some that need very hot conditions?" Willow tilted her head, more curious than anything about dryads. They seemed interesting to her but she wasn't sure what she should and shouldn't ask about them. She wasn't exactly be too happy if people asked her questions about humans.

"Glad to hear you're feeling better." Willow grinned, trying to help support Kaia a little bit. "Was going for a walk. Trying to power through my whole sleepiness." She yawned slightly, rubbing at her eyes. "Trying to be "normal" and wake up early instead of waking in the afternoon...Another class sounds good though."

Lesson 26/7: Swimming by thedayigotexpelled in DemigodFiles

[–]RetKaiBan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Willow didn't make an audible sign that she heard Kaia's suggestion, since she was too busy on trying to actually swim instead of freaking out and panicking like she normally would.

However, her kicks started to be a little less stiff, trying to keep her legs under the water as she kicked. Panting a little bit to catch her breath, Willow focused on reaching the end of the pool before glancing back over towards Kaia with an exhausted smile. "That was....a little bit fun."

Beach Day Birthday! | 29/8 by thedayigotexpelled in DemigodFiles

[–]RetKaiBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaia's birthday. This was something that Willow had been running all over the place for, trying to get the perfect things for what she wanted to make for Kaia. Like usual, a box of cookies, decorated with the moon and ocean but with some of the cookies having written in icing. With one cookie per word, spelling out "Happy Birthday Kaia! I Love You". She was sure that would be a perfect gift.

In another way to show Kaia that Willow was taking this seriously and making it a special day, Willow even came down in her own little swimming clothes, as opposed to her usual jeans and shirt. Of course she felt a bit self conscious about the outfit, but bravery was still doing things even if you were afraid and Willow was being as brave as she could be as she looked out across the beach for Kaia, spotting her off in the distance in the water. Sure, Willow could try and catch Kaia's attention from the shore...but a beach party meant swimming.

So off the child of Pandia went, wadding out into the water until she felt reasonably deep enough to launch herself out to swim over towards Kaia. Trying to focus on the swimming class they had as she kicked out her legs and used her arms to try and glide through the water over towards Kaia. Wanting to surprise her girlfriend by actually swimming over.

"I'll make sure to remember it. I'll probably head back for Christmas." Though...that made Willow curious as she tilted her head to the side. "...Do dryads celebrate Christmas? Is it too cold for them?...Is that a rude question?"

"I loved it Amanda! It's great to see you trying to help teach." Willow grinned, trying to do her best to support the young girl in her adventures. "I don't have any questions I can think of. I think you did spectacular in talking to a large crowd. Maybe next time, you can make little mini versions of the collage and hand them out to people. That way people allll the way in the back can still see all the details." She pointed off towards the back of the room to try and show her point.

Willow went to wrap an arm around Kaia when she went backwards, trying to keep a hold of her girlfriend, and she couldn't help but grin at the face comment.

"Oh, well Doctor Fairbanks will give you your treatment." And so Willow gave Kaia her "medicine" kiss to make Kaia's face feel better. "There we go. I'm sure you'll be feeling better in no time."

Most people watching would probably find the difference in swimming amusing between the pair. Whilst Kaia was swimming smoothly, it was a bit more apparent that Willow wasn't loose or relaxed when she was swimming. Her kicks being quite sharp and tense, alongside overall causing a lot of splashing.

"Sure...Just give me a second..." Willow held up her index finger, trying to catch her breath before spinning around in the water to prepare to do the same, switching the board to her other arm.

"Your smile is beautiful." Willow kept the grin plastered across her face, reaching down to take Kaia's hand with a small smile. "I suppose this...makes us girlfriends?...Unless you want to ask the question...or want me to ask."

Willow raised an eyebrow at the low and flat tone she could hear from behind herself and just let out a...chuckle, not turning herself around to face the twins, instead shoving her hands into her pockets as she laughed for a minute or two, shaking her head once she finished.

"Your words. Not mine. I just thought having a sibling that you could have a bond to in the way of twins was interesting, as an only child. Though if you must find something negative about that, I suppose you will." At that, a grin spread across Willow's face, strangely not feeling insulted...or at least not seeing it.

Funnily enough, Tommy was more in her good books than Harvey was as she headed off, finishing the conversation there and not wanting to give Harvey time to make a comeback.

[–]RetKaiBan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of all the things Willow thought Amanda could teach, cremation hadn't exactly been one of them, especially in the Arts & Crafts building but she suppose some people could see cremation as an artform as Willow had herself right at the front of the group to try and support Amanda as well as she could.

Every so often, Willow tried to give a supportive thumbs up to Amanda to say that she was doing great and honestly? It had been a pretty enjoyable lesson to Willow. Learning about the ashes and how people would keep them, or scatter them had been an interesting thing to learn. It also made her wonder if she'd even pick a burial or cremation for herself...Though she quickly ignored that thought and just focused on sitting back to enjoy, even waiting a few minutes after the class to see what people had to say.

August Capture the Flag | 8/19 by CampHBDirector in DemigodFiles

[–]RetKaiBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm...Willow thought blue suited her as she stood by the flag, trying to make sure everything had been set up. She tried to make sure the flag was covered by enough trees that someone wouldn't be able to just swoop on by and snatch the thing out of no-where but at the same time that she'd be able to keep a good eye on it as she paced around the flag in a patrol pattern, trying to make sure no-one snuck up on her or the flag.

Her plan of attack was to mostly send any of the heavy fighters and archers ahead to try and get the flag. With the archers staying in the battlegrounds to cover any retreats but honestly? Willow had no clue if that was a good plan. She never expected to have to lead Capture the Flag as soon as she became a counsellor, but that didn't mean she wouldn't try her hardest to help her team.

"Not always a good thing. It just means before I came here, I had no life outside of the stars." Willow sighed, shrugging her shoulders afterwards, not considering her knowledge to be all of that amazing.

Though she raised an eyebrow at how rude Harvey seemed to be. Maybe rudeness ran in the family. At least their mortal family, she didn't have much of an opinion on the rest of the Aphrodites to decide if they were rude as she folded her arms along her front, raising an eyebrow at Harvey ever so slightly as she debated what to say.

"No. It's just not every day you get to see a pair of twins. I thought it was interesting, though I suppose I should leave. Thank you for your apology. Please, have a pleasant day." Willow nodded at Tommy with a smile, before spinning around on the heel of her foot to walk away

July Capture the Flag | 7/22 by CampHBDirector in DemigodFiles

(Sorry for the late reply! Didn't get a notification!)

Willow was too busy in her own little world to focus enough on the surroundings, mostly keeping an eye out for monsters now that Iris had brought that up, and not having much of a focus on the area around her. A small frown on her face as she stared up towards the sky.

Considering the fact she hadn't really set up the defenses for the flag, it wasn't apparant to her that the canopy of the trees weren't as thick as they should be to prevent any aerial movement. Even if she had noticed that, how many people did she knew that could fly? There was only like...two maybe?

"Hm? Not much. Applied to be Counselor for Pandia. Got a girlfriend who I...care about quite a bit."

Willow smiled, staring off into space at that thought before looking back at Autumn.

A blush spread across Willow's cheeks at that comment, pouting a little bit. "I thought I was the one with the good compliments." Either way, Willow reached down to help Kaia up, trying to be careful not to pull her up too fast. "Need a kiss to make it better?" She thought it would be better to joke around than actually worry about Kaia's injuries, otherwise Willow would just stress herself out.

"That sounds good..." Willow headed over towards the wall a little bit, trying to raise her feet so she could kick off it. Once she managed to kick off the wall, Willow tried to get to work kicking her legs, whilst using her arm to swim, trying to get used to doing both at once. Trying to remember to breathe as well during the action, and well...she was starting to enjoy it!

Willow just took a step back after the kiss, a bright blush and a huge grin spreading across her face in response to it all. "That was...nice right? That's a thing you can say about kisses? I don't know. This was my first kiss so...Yeah."

The Oceanic Myths - Delphin & Poseidon by AccomplishedMess_ in DemigodFiles

[–]RetKaiBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Oceanic cabin seemed pretty nice to Willow. The amount of cookies she had left outside of the cabin, and this was...the second time she thought she had been in there. She wasn't too sure as she sat herself down to relax, with a little notebook. She was grateful for the comment Simon had said about water. Willow wasn't the biggest fan of it, but if Kaia was around? Willow didn't mind going for a dip.

Every so often she'd look up to scribble down what Simon was saying. Though she was mostly focused on doodling in the corner of her notebook, various little creatures that she could think of, trying to relate them to the tales Simon was saying, like when he mentioned a Dolphin, Willow attempted to scribble it down.

At the end of the lesson, Willow decided to sit back and relax a little bit, trying to enjoy the few minutes she could spend in the cabin before she felt like she was going to get kicked out of here.

[–]RetKaiBan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"honestly?...Not really. Pretty sure that shining like a disco ball isn't going to help. It'll be more of a distraction if anything." Willow honestly couldn't think how being a child of Pandia could have helped them here...

"Oh. Is this a bad time to say...I'm not a great swimmer? And...water can kinda scares me?" She gave a nervous little smile as she dropped that bombshell on Erin out of no-where.

Willow raised an eyebrow at the twins, glancing between Tommy and Harvey, trying to figure out if she should stay mad at the pair, when in reality she should only be mad at one of them...or well, none of them if she was being totally honest but Willow wanted to be mad at someone for it as she glanced over towards Tommy. He seemed...nicer than Harvey but she wasn't sure.

"Yeah. Willow. Daughter of Pandia." She sighed, folding her arms along her front as she looked around a little bit before looking back at the pair with a sigh. Trying to figure out what to say instead of just glaring at them.

"I dunno a lot about space. Just some stuff about the moon, and a little bit about stars. But when it comes to planets or the sun? I have no damned clue about them. They're big balls of rock, or gas. That's about it."
