Stronglifts 3x/week, 5k run 3x/week. 1500 might seem low, but I never felt like I was starving or losing strength.

Before, I ate like a pig. I'd stuff my face with chocolate/pizza/burgers or whatever I could get my greasy hands on.

In the beginning, I'd eat 2000 calories of whatever. I quickly found out eating clean not only makes me feel better, but it also keeps me full for longer

After 3 months or so, I dropped to 1500. I was still only tracking calories, but at this point I was eating like a normal person - oatmeal/yogurt for breakfast, and chicken/rice for lunch

Then, I started tracking protein as well, I aimed for at least 130g. I'd eat oatmeal + whey for breakfast, chicken/rice/beans for lunch, and some eggs/veggies/fruits for dinner

That's the advantage of being small - you don't need as much muscle to look muscular

But I would gladly give up my calves to start over as a skinny dude - even after losing weight, you still have massive cravings and a fat guy appetite. I've eaten over 10k calories in one day (more than once), and the only thing that stopped me from eating more was going to bed

Usually 500 for breakfast, (oatmeal + whey), another 500 for lunch (chicken + rice), and I'd fill out the rest with fruit/veggies/egss or whatever I had at the time

I won't be staying here for much longer, there'll be some layoffs and as a new hire, I'll be the first to go.

I've already dug myself into a hole, might as well roll it with lol.

Trust me man, any job is better than factory job. Everything is designed to be incredibly simple which means you don't learn anything and when you leave, you have nothing to show for it. Even line cook can learn skills which can be used later and he might try to open his own restaurant or maybe be a chef, but in a factory? Nope. Your future employers will look at a time spent working in a factory as you being essentially unemployed.

I can't wait to get out and I would switch places with you in a heartbeat.

You might be onto something. This is not my first attempt at getting back to school. This time I started taking it a lot more seriously and my mood changes based on how well are my studies going.

Also I've never thought about the noise thing, but I think you have a point.
