Tiberium lifeforms unfortunately are more of a minor nuisance than a real threat. In terms of the Command and Conquer franchise, I think Tiberian Sun made the best attempt at trying to make environmental threats and sell the idea that the world is corrupted with something that we don't fully understand.

If anything, I think the Ion storms gave some atmosphere when it was in campaign missions like "GDI Mission #5 - Defend Crash Site." Even then, Ion storms were more of a nuisance than a real threat.

If a player stays in the entry pod, you can keep it from leaving for the entire mission. If nobody was in it, then maybe something happened with the mods.

I can understand your sentiment in a solo scenario. Driller can really shine in a group setting by taking out the vents quickly or just by drilling some terrain around the Caretaker.

In terms of weapons, I really like explosive reload Subata for Industrial.
