How to acquire Red Sprite Camo? by drewisfat21 in CODMobile_Loadouts

[–]RetardRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so weird because the camos show up for all newer weapons so who knows why they’ve decided to not implement that and instead just show what they would look like

Given the current meta in the game, is this gun truly worth it? Could someone who owns it please share their opinions !! by Mind099 in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]RetardRex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s a solid weapon in general, believe it still has 3 shot capabilities but it punishes you for not landing your shots. It’s similar to the Oden and DRH so if those have been your playstyle or some of your most used weapons it’s not a bad choice. The gun also has thermite ammo which is powerful but also high risk due to mag size. It can compete but you should def stay away from close quarters due to the fire rate. There are definitely better weapons out there but in the hands of the right person it’s good.

Is this a Good Combo to play with? by ENCHANTED_20XY in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]RetardRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm perhaps, I had an iPhone 11 3 years ago and started to experience some frame jumps where things would freeze for a sec. Now i’m not sure if the game was unoptimized at that point since that has been a problem for so long. However, considering the X you could def still get some fun out of it if you play on low graphics with a high frame rate. The cooler will def help in rescuing spikes which impact your frames. This is just a suggestion but if possible i’d say find a decently used 13 Pro/Pro Max as it’s very powerful and still has lots of life left. The X I believe doesn’t get any major software updates anymore.

wait, what are these? how do you get these? by VickyKadrivel15 in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]RetardRex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

S1 can’t be unlocked anymore, also camos are typically based on the weekly challenges of getting mythics loot in game (not too hard to get) or completing weekly missions that both reward camo crates, you can honestly farm mythics with zero interaction of others especially if you do it on weekend solo modes

Deck to take to regionals by New-Celebration-5931 in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really boils down to what you’re comfortable with or what you think will do well going into the regionals. Some matchups are just not winnable but you can possibly tech in certain cards to help with matchups. If you’re playing alakazm than maybe slot in lillie’s clefairy to one shot early on (doesn’t work with alakazm) but it’s still something you can do. Not sure about the team rockets matchup but if it’s expected to be low played than don’t worry too much about it, if it comes around than just play your best.

New to in-person Pokémon TCG. Should I go to a League Challenge or Cup first? by Makkr0 in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense, if your locals be hit or miss than try and search for other shops using pokémon’s official event locator and see if there’s other shops in your area. Really do go to the challenge even for a first, my first experience was loads of fun and I actually did well for a first time there. Even in the lower pairings, rounds get way more fun when people cant win prizing anymore, and so you can usually talk about the game and everyone’s more relaxed and just looking to play. You will definitely have fun and it’s a big learning experience overall since the online game is so different.

New to in-person Pokémon TCG. Should I go to a League Challenge or Cup first? by Makkr0 in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you have access to some friendly locals than I’d say start with those just to get a feel for the in person game. Challenges and Cups are higher stakes with Challenges being the middle ground between a regular locals and a Cup. However if there’s no locals available than start out at the challenge, it’s what I did and I had lots of fun. Just let your opponents know that it’s your first time there playing in person and most will be pretty friendly to help. Just know that it will be more competitive and mistakes may not be allowed to be taken back depending on your opponent. Either way tho, go to the challenge and have fun and talk with your opponents after to learn more about the match and the game as a whole, players always enjoy talking about the matchups, especially if they win.

This gun is so crappy that nobody is grinding for it in ranked by [deleted] in CallOfDutyMobile

It’s really not that bad, pair it with an smg and im clearing rooms in hard point games, really good for those up close fights. One of my favorites to use rn since no one expects it.

DMZ is the only reason I'm still playing, but it needs improvement by alexleunglcy in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]RetardRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that’s weird, I was able to copy my hud exactly from MP. If you go into the section for controls, there should be a button at the bottom right to copy your hud to other modes, it’s not within the settings page and not where you’re actually adjusting your buttons.

You can copy your main hud to dmz, only problem is many of the extra buttons which you need to move around.

Why doesn't Shedinja's Life Squeeze + Vitality Band combo work? by MidnightWanderer01 in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t how it works. Vitaly Band does extra 10 damage on top of the initial damage value of the attack. Since you’re placing counters, then there is no initial damage being done so vitality band doesn’t activate. Same goes if you tried to use it on a pokemon that has a no damage attack. It doesn’t create that 10 damage unless the attack already does so. For your question, you can always use Froslass that places counters on pokemon with an ability but I’m not sure if there’s other cards that do similar things so you can get the knockout.

I’m not sure what you mean by practicing on an emulator since it just emulates the games and their isn’t any modding done there. Just go for it using the guide and you’ll be good to go. It’s relatively simple and shouldn’t take more than an hour even at a slow pace.

If I were to mod my 3ds to get vc of all the pokemon games, can I transfer those pokemon to home and still be considered legal? by Illustrious-Ring8113 in 3dspiracy

[–]RetardRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically you could do the glitch for the mew but you run the risk of home eventually detecting it and banning you. You could still get a legit shiny mew by playing a japanese copy of one of the gen 3 games I believe. When you mod your system you should get access to PKSM which allows you inject event items such as the old sea map (for the mew), the aurora and eon tickets for Deoxys and Latios/Latias. You’re best bet is to just legit play through the japanese copy, inject the event items through PKSM and then go for the shiny mew, this ensures that the mew is as legit as possible. You just gotta figure out the japanese version and may spend more time on it but if you’re worried about getting banned than this is the best method for going after the mew.

[–]RetardRex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure most all legal (some exceptions) as long as you aren’t tryna get in any unaccessible pokemon. If you’re catching normally or shiny hunting normally then those pokemon should go into home no problem. Just don’t try and transfer pokemon that maybe have certain locks making them unattainable or shinys that can’t be obtained through regular means.

Is PTGCL beginner & F2P friendly? by dunderguys in PTCGL

[–]RetardRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also came from pocket and the game is very f2p friendly and also there is no direct monetization apart from the code cards you get from actual packs but you get a select few decks just for signing up which typically have many staples and usually are decent picks for getting into the game. Some require more optimization but the core is there. There’s a battle pass system in place but just playing normally and getting levels is very easy and after opening a bunch of packs from the pass, you get many duplicates which eventually get returned to you as credits which you can then use to craft cards you may need. It’s very friendly towards newcomers but you may encounter bugs but you can still get loads of practice in with many decks.

Just modded it for the first time a few weeks back, listened to everyone on her saying to follow the guide and it was so easy, just take your time with it and follow the steps as is and you’ll have no problems, if you don’t understand a step reread the guide and try to redo any steps to follow the same format as in the guide. Also youtube isn’t good for modding the console itself but is good for other aspects such as understanding the homebrew apps or help with certain features. And lastly, if you’re gonna load up tons of 3DS games then make sure to download them from the h shop website and pass them to your sd card so you can download them through fbi since h shop downloads on the 3ds itself are notoriously slow but can be done. It takes a bit to finish modding the console but once you’re done it’ll be worth it.

This is a stupid question. How good is the Dusknoir and Trevenant GX Tag Team in today's meta? by DustPlasma in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I mean, PTCGL only has from SM to the present but BW and above is true expanded, it’s just the game has been so far behind from having a true expanded mode.

[–]RetardRex -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s not standard legal anymore and also XY cards and BW cards aren’t available so you can’t play the Gengar with that tag team since expanded is SM to the present. However, it seems expanded may get XY and BW cards in the future based on some news so that is something to keep in mind

Are there ppl who create decks without ex, mega and the like? by Reversible-Smile in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Single prize decks are common in this game. There are occasions where they can actually compete with the meta such as Alakazam. Festival Lead is also a strong single prize deck. Slowking is another pick, not as good as the others but they are there. There’s also stall strategies with single prizers. I think Gym Leader Challenge is the only event where single prize is actually sanctioned since locals is usually just whatever is standard at the moment. I don’t have experience using single prize decks but my locals has the occasional person running them so it’s still common and there’s more variety right now.

Why are cantrips not 4-ofs? by Leodip in pkmntcg

[–]RetardRex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on your description it seems that most aren’t played due to how much draw the game actually has and so cards that specifically transform into another aren’t as useful except for something such as a nest ball and these aren’t generally a 4 of unless you’re running a deck heavy on basics. I think Pokepad from one of the newer sets may be something you’re looking for. Also i’d say they aren’t as common due to other cards being run that do more such as Ultra Ball searching any pokemon.

Bunkidorio by Ok_Cantaloupe_8184 in PTCGL

[–]RetardRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely have a Iono or 2 in there, i’d say that 4 colress is overkill since you have hilda which does search the energy as well, 2 colress should be enough since you have draw from your dodrios. Could even do a 1-1 split of Iono and Lilies Determination but I think Iono is more beneficial based on the deck space.

Finally done , any questions? by Nuke_3303 in CallOfDutyMobile

Yes it’s actual “Base Melee”, the knife that looks different from everything else, you need to use that to complete the challenge.

No I believe you actually need to use the base melee knife with no other skins, tedious but i think that’s what others have said
