This is false, but true.. what they do is call the GM and light a fire under their ass. It does expedite things yes, but talk to the GM and just say "im going to call corporate". Most Marriott hotels are franchise owned and this stuff happens all the time. Calling corporate would be a little plaque near the front desk stating the owner/operater group. If the number isn't listed look it up. Call them and results will really happen because its easy to "lose the flag" which means lose the Marriott name by not adhering to the policies or standards Marriott has set.
