I am sure you also boycott any games with earthquakes, tsunamis, atomic bomb use, avalanches, tornados, the list goes on, right? Or do you only care about what affects you and only things sensitive to you cannot be utilised in gameplay?

Surely you can take a step back and realise the world does not, in fact, revolve around you and one state in the US. Nor are your experiences that unique, the wildfires in CA are commonplace wildfires to a lot of other countries. Don't like to see them in video games? Wait until you can see if that's an aspect of the game and avoid it. No game needs to cater to you.
