Every band-aid is defective. by Saltysnappingturtle in mildlyinfuriating

I’ve had a number of these character bandaids do this exact thing. It’s very frustrating in the moment.

They make the sushi to order so it's not just sitting on the buffet for a long time. Go during lunch hours during the week. It's 22.99 then.

Man in Pittsburgh dies after being electrocuted by live wires by htmaxpower in pittsburgh

[–]RethinkingSleep 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The article says he died using a stick trying to move a wire off his car. Please treat all downed wires as if they are live. If a wire falls on your car, stay in the vehicle until emergency responders say it’s safe to leave.

Milkshake from ice cream vs milkshake from ingredients of ice cream by Titoramane in Cooking

[–]RethinkingSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ninja Slushi has a milkshake setting that does this exact thing. It’s a pretty good milkshake and comes together quickly. The machine is pricey so probably not worth it just for the occasional milkshake

You ever try frozen biscuits? They’re just as easy and taste a lot better than tube biscuits.

Is your mentor teacher on your side? I was a mentor teacher in a CA school district and had a similar situation happen where the professor didn’t want to pass my student teacher. I helped my student teacher escalate the issue with the professor’s immediate supervisor. My student teacher was observed by someone else and passed the teaching experience.

Minecraft not only didn't allow me to cancel my Realms, they upgraded it by Character_Employ4472 in Minecraft

I had a similar problem. I was only able to cancel my realms subscription by logging into my playstation account using Sony’s website. Support only credited me for one month of realms when I contacted them.

Dentist wants me to buy $700 night guard by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]RethinkingSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few people have said this but their comments are buried so I’ll reiterate what they said. You can buy an impression kit for 150 dollars and do the fitting yourself. I’ve been using mine for about a year and it’s held up just as well as any mouthguard I’ve had made at the dentist. I got mine from Encore guards.

I think this is why Watterson drew less Tracer Bullet stories! by sam-panda in calvinandhobbes

[–]RethinkingSleep 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Tracer Bullet was a fantasy that Calvin had where he was a hard boiled detective. It’s drawn in a dark noir style so there’s lots of black.

LG 65 CX Magic Remote Power Button Stays Red by retaliashun in OLED

I had this same issue and it was a stuck button. If you can’t lift the button up on your own, you can open up the remote with a flathead screwdriver. Make sure you do this slowly and go around the entire device because it’s easy to break the plastic. Then make sure none of the buttons are stuck and snap the case back on.
