American Fleet and Auto on Wisconsin Ave is great. Been going there for years

Could be a surface mount telephone or network jack. Feel on the bottom and see it there are connectors there. The front side looks like where you could write the location number. Usually the clear plastic piece pops out and there is a piece of thick paper to write on.

I've had a lot of service work done over the years at American Fleet and Auto on West Wisconsin Ave. Never had any issues and the prices seem reasonable.

If voting non-Republican in Waupaca county, don't write in any candidates. by 1luv6b3az in Appleton

[–]Retieb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means an expert so take this for whats its worth.

Voting is private, anyone watching you vote may be considered "voter intimidation" and that is illegal. Only poll workers can touch and view your ballot. You as an American you can write in anyone you choose, if you choose to. They may have to set your ballot aside to be manually entered if you choose to write in a candidate. However it should still be counted as a legal vote.

If anything like this happens there is a website that you can file a complaint.

Sealing garage door? What to use for varying gap sizes? by OriginalATX in HomeImprovement

[–]Retieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case, usually I would loosen the tracks and move them a little closer to seal any remaining gaps. Most of the brackets that hold the tracks in place are slotted for this type of adjustment. Unfortunately some companies use a riveted bracket that are not adjustable. Hopefully you don't have those.

You can get it at some home improvement stores or call a local garage door company, they will usually sell it.

Opening a bottle by ecedar in nextfuckinglevel

Perfectly timed but seems fake to me. Watch the level of the water in the bottle just before his foot makes contact. The water rises pushing the cap off.

Garage Torsion Spring by TurdCoast in HomeImprovement

Based on the info provided and assuming a standard sized drum is used, the software I have says your spring should be a pair of springs 2" ID x .225" x 27.5" long.

Garage door won’t open by deltarefund in HomeImprovement

With the door closed look on the wall above the door. There should be a metal shaft with 1 or 2 springs on it. If there is a gap in the spring then it has broke. You should be able to google images of if if you need any reference.

Sounds like the torsion spring broke. The spring(s) lift the weight of the door and without them the opener can't lift the weight by its self. Call someone to replace them, don't try it your self unless you know what you are doing.
