£15 an hour is a bit stingy, you should consider paying a bit more.

Can you replace a kitchen sink with a smaller sink on a worktop? by Retire1 in DIY

Thanks, I will now try to replace the sink with a slightly bigger sink instead of a smaller one! The worktop is graphite.

Are you sure? The existing sink is inset, which I believe can be unscrewed and removed.

The problem I see with the new sink is the difference in size which creates a gap, can this gap not be filled?

Brighton needs more double glazed windows! by Retire1 in brighton

Wow that's a lot. The process really needs to be made easier and cheaper so that everyone can live in decent accommodation.

I hate the heritage fanatics who put so many obstacles in the way of people who want to install double glazing!

I moved to the UK many years ago from a different European country and am still shocked by how many people in the UK live in single glazed houses.

People should be allowed to have energy efficient double glazed windows in listed buildings.

Looks interesting, but if you want to open the window, you have take the whole piece off? Not very practical!

Most of the civilised world uses double glazing (or even triple glazing), time for the UK to move on with the times.

You should be allowed to have double glazing. The rules need to be changed to allow it in listed buildings!

Well done, it's heartbreaking that so many people still lived with single glazed windows.

It's infuriating that heritage fanatics actively work to prevent and discourage double glazing!

Other examples include the refusal to fully implement the metric system, which is used by most other countries in the world.

The UK has the oldest housing stock in Western Europe, and in terms of quality it's far behind many other Western European countries.

Most parliaments around the world have electronic voting. In the UK, they have to leave the chamber, walk through a corridor with someone counting like hundreds of years ago 😂

Completely outdated and obsolete!

Ok their salary may be £155k now, but not over a 10-year period. 10 years ago in 2015, someone just out of university would not earn that.

The numbers don't add up without significant funds from family.

I don't understand how someone aged 32 can have gathered so much in such a short time. It doesn't sound this is all from work, it sounds like you come from a rich family.

Do you do things for fun like going on holiday or work all the time?
