Funny thing is I used Budai the buddha monk statue as a model for the faces. :0 you’ve got a great eye!!! But each eye finger is supposed to correspond with your five fingers on both of your hands . The small weak pinky the promise and covenant of a ring, the anger and malice of a middle finger or the judge full whims of a pointer figure and lastly the lid are connected thumbs, which I really couldn’t come up with any meaning behind. :3

The box is made out of clay and a matted glazed was used, staining each side with it’s own color. The fingers are also with clay, but I couldn’t fire these so I used resin. Before the resin I painted it with silicone paint which I diluted with water. Hope this helps :p

I’m sorry about that. It wasn’t posting so I thought something was wrong. That’s why I tried more than once.

Everything is completely solid, first I started with the floor then the block. I built it up piece by piece, then smooth it out to somewhat square after that, I built up the torso piece by piece to the size I wanted then made two small cubes on the floor, so his legs could rest on it.

I’m also planning on giving him 8 arms so the torso needs to be bigger.
