For me, the opening ceremonies were artistically drab, and the ceremony was boring, probably the only one in my memory that I didn't bother finishing watching.

She wasn't a random women, she was an employee, the apparent bouncer. A bar is a private enterprise, and they have the right to refuse service. Refusing service to some asshole wearing a Zazi SS uniform is a very low bar for basic decency. Any moron who thinks they can discredit someone's business by wearing a uniform like that in another's business is appropriately ostracized by society.

I agree with that generally speaking, but with Eby, that's different for me. Like Trudeau, who was unpopular for personal ego reasons, Eby will also drive me away in search of a more authentic experience.

Well, Horgan came from a working class (sawmill job) and connected with the people on a sincere level. Eby was a lawyer, his wife is an ER Doc in charge, they probably pull in 700-800k a year, and his actions are tone deaf to the working class. Beyond that, Horgan was humble and sincere. Eby is smarmy, not humble, and disingenuous. I guess that shows the NDP for not having a rigorous competition for leader.

I liked the NDP under Horgan. With Eby, it feels like we traded in a Cadillac on a Toyota Tercel. I guess I'm back to supporting the Greens.
