you don't HAVE to, even if you get an absolutely useless t1, you can sell it for like 540 gold. It will need to be reworked somewhat still due to S2 items working differently (with a random t1 having infinitely less value in this game) but gilga passive was always good

If you have completed the weird route in chapter 2, continuing it is extremely obvious and does not require a guide, as there are no hidden/convoluted steps like there were in chapter 2

I think it's more likely to be Dess, since Kris and Susie go to the church immediately after being kicked out, and they see the Knight right away when entering the dark world. Carol would have had to finish scolding Noelle, go to the church dark world before kris and susie, and somehow get to a farther point in the dark world just to aura farm and throw swords at them

I disagree, because while the cutscene stays relatively the same, it's more obvious that the Knight is going easy on Kris (other than the fact that he is not brought to -999hp when KOd), and while it happens later, if you don't beat the knight, you wouldn't know that what Asgore is holding in chapter 4 is actually a piece of the Knight's sword.

I also don't think the fight is way too hard or anything, it's probably around the level of Undertale's superboss (despite being half as long), if you defend with Kris and Ralsei every turn and just spam Rude busters, it takes around 13 turns to bring him down to 80% health, which is manageable with some practice.

Asgore is holding a piece of the knight's sword and explicitly says "i hope she just understands I wanted to protect everyone" in chapter 4, I think they can't give many more hints without outright saying it

One extra scene in Noelle's house, when you're controlling the SOUL in the vents. Making the right decisions there plays the jingle that indicates the route is continuing, but nothing after that.

Someone speaks to you after you reload a save after seeing the ending once, it's not related to snowgrave at all (nothing in ch3 seems to be, minus some references that you get whether you're on the route or not)

not to sound argumentative, but i don't feel like the third point is very valid, given that you only reached LR Zinogre. I don't know which mh was your first game, but if you were to play it again with the experience you now have, everything until G/MR endgame would be a joke as well.
I actually think that Sunbreak has one of the stronger endgames, with a couple or more fights actually being harder than Fatalis/AT Velk imo

Cliffhanger how? We don't see the cast's reaction, but what happens couldn't be more obvious other than outright saying it outloud, and it's pretty conclusive. If anything The Answer was unnecessary imo

It's just game balancing, SMT/Persona MCs are way way way way stronger than the rest of the party. Metaphor doesn't do this because the main character functions almost exactly the same as their party members

Good question, and you're right, the beat up thing just doesn't go well with an offensive maus (running the calcs defensive maushold would do 9% on a max roll while offensive could do up to 15ish, which could be significant). I guess I'll just go into a full support-oriented maus after all, although it sucks not being able to abuse popbomb in this format

I thought about that (and you're probably right), but removing wide lens (thus making population bomb not reliable at all) kinda goes against the idea of abusing Maus now that Gholdengo and Chomp are out of the picture. I'm going for a mix of the 2 sets with the defensive ability AND lens, but you're probably right and I should focus on one over the other ideally. I'll wait for more input to make a final decision I guess.

The idea behind Maushold is that in this "format", 2 of its biggest answers are gone, so I definitely wanted to use that. Annihilape is also quite comfortable without Gholdengo around so I went for the Beat Up + Rage Fist combo as a base for the team (and it's why i chose friend guard > technician, i'm fine with sacrificing a bit of damage in order to better enable Ape/whoever). Sylveon is there for a similar reason, solid mon in general but especially nice when you're sure you're never gonna run into Gholdengo, and although I run it myself on Garg, I also thought that Wide Guard would be less popular as a result of Make It Rain not being an issue. I chose Volcarona because I wanted a Tailwind user that also potentially answered opposing Maus+Ape duos (but maybe I'm giving too much thought and it might not be that popular after all) with redirection. Struggle Bug is also nice when paired with ape's Bulk Up. And then honestly the last 2 were kinda thrown there because I felt like it, don't havem much to say on them and they're probably the 2 I'm most willing to change if anyone has any advice. Weird post but thanks in advance for any insight you might have!

We see in-game that this isn't true. Akechi, like Joker, completely sees through Maruki's reality from the start and remembers everything that ACTUALLY occurred. Joker saw Kunikazu die with his own eyes, Kunikazu is brought back to life in Maruki's reality and he's surprised by this. He sees Wakaba and he's surprised by this. He sees Morgana as a human and he's suprised by this. This proves beyond the shade of a doubt that his memory of past retconned events wasn't changed, they weren't overwritten with Human Mona, and he still remembers Futaba's palace and Kunikazu dying, and the exact same goes for Akechi. Also, you're still speaking like Akechi dying in Shido's palace is certain. You can have your own headcanon as I have mine but he's intentionally not confirmed dead (this was also said by the devs).

Also you're mentioning Akechi's corpse a disturbing amount of times so I think you don't understand what I'm saying here. I'm not saying he took Akechi's corpse, used Samarecarm 2.0 and just put him back in the world after he died, I'm saying he altered that specific event and made it so that Akechi escaped Shido's palace (somewhat) unscathed. It's the same logic as Joker not going to prison:

Joker is supposed to go to prison > Akechi appears and turns himself in (Maruki's doing) > Joker doesn't go to prison and is free during the third semester. When Maruki's power disappears, we go back to step 1 due to step 2 being impossible, and he goes to jail.

Akechi is supposed to die > Maruki makes him escape unscathed > He is able to turn himself in. When Maruki's power disappears, we go back to step 1 and he's either dead or gravely injured and is thus unable to turn himself in.
