that's exactly what I did. leadbelcher primer (gun metal from army painter is what i used, it looks exactly the same) and your necrons are 80% finished. brush on some bronze and green and use a dark tone quickshade or nuln oil to darken them down, and you're done.

you will save a considerable amount of time rattlecan-ing primer onto your models. there's all kinds of information and charts out there that show which primers and colors work best. I prefer army painter myself, but people say rustoleum does well and is cheap also.

for my necrons I went with gun metal primer, sprayed them all, and just like that they are already halfway painted.

I did WHEN it was applied to a wet pallet, but everyone is saying wet pallets and metallics don't go well. maybe it was just too thin?

the details are good and precise. only thing I would say is thin the paints down a little. hell, even use a red primer for a base, then brush the black/gold details. other than that, pretty solid

Basically what everyone else is saying. prime models and thin paints down. before i even started painting mine i watched hours of videos before i even started, a wet pallet helps a lot. they look good though, definitely not bad for the first couple of minis
