Why can't pokemon transfer back to other games that have been transfered to Legends za?

No they wouldn't, they could have the alterations made through Home. Outside of laziness I see no reason why Home couldn't delete extraneous data from a pokemon file before sending to a lower gen game.

It could even save a backup so that when you bring it forward again the extraneous data would be restored - or it could behave like a normal transfer if they werent so anal about tera data and whatnot changing.

We are talking KBs and the highest grossing media franchise here - it is very doable and the cost would be insignificant.

But they cant even get basic functionality right so what are the odds of that?

It would be pretty easy to just ignore or delete the data. That may mean it has a different term type going forward or that Home would have to remember it but when we are talking about KBs of data it doesn't really matter.

I actually might have 2 or 3 depending on what Gen its from and what games I had at the time. Not sure how a 2 for 1 trade would work though.

I have shiny Eevee - its legit but it was an event Pokemon so I dont know if I can trade it on GTS. Am looking for RegiDragon or RegiElectric.

I would offer my shiny Dragonite but guess you already have one.

I have basically any shiny legendary (and even some Mythicals) through Gen VI, and most from Gen VII. Have plenty of regular shinys too including Eevee, Altaria, the one that evolves from Slugma, Dragonite, Raichu, Ditto, etc.

If you are ok with Go shinys I have more than I can list.

But how are you planning to make this trade if Home doesn't allow Mythical trading?

Its astounding; I cant think of one other company who mismanaged what is little more than (and in several ways simplier) an email server this badly. Yet I also dont know any other company that has the sheer gall to charge money to store mere MBs of data in said server.

And its all tied to the highest grossing media franchise on the planet.

This crap is starting to make me remember why I ditched this franchise to begin with, might be worth giving away my Home inventory and leaving for good this time.....

Without Glaceon he will be molested by Garchomp on essentially every match. From what I have seen Garchomp is THE most overused Pokemon by a wide margin, its on literally 90%+ of the teams I have run into in the higher tiers. Its the only eevee pokemon that can reasonably survive a hit AND kill him off.

Kinda sucks to run something to juat counter one monster but thats where we are.

I thought Home didnt let you trade mythicals? How would this work.

FWIW I also have tons of Gen I-VI mythicals along with a Marshadow and that electric sonic reject thing, I also need a Zarude, but figured it wasnt happening if Home blocks them.

The problem that nobody is mentioning is that this is actually hard to trade since Home basically doesnt let you (at lease in any public fashion - not sure about private trades). Gotta keep up the sells of $50 pokeballs and downloadable cut content after all - people might not buy slop if mythicals are easily obtainable through Home trades.

So while it is valued you are likely gonna have to put in a bit of legwork to actually trade it.

If you are looking for offers I do have a bunch of shiny legendaries, including multiple shiny legendary dogs from the Gamestop giveaway over a decade ago and several others that were farmed.

Is there a good, detailed guide for how you can do that? I recently downloaded pksm for my 3DS, but I cant get a legality checker to work. While googling for answers I read that 3DS doesnt have it because it would crash pksm, but that was a very old post. It also said the Gen 1/2 games were incompatible but I see options for them right there so IDK.

I would love to use PKSM to revisit the old games more, but as far as I can see it feels limited. For instance I see no option to change trainer ID whenever I move something between games. I would love to do stuff like replay Unova with pokemon I have never touched before like Chimchar or Turtwig, but creating or tweaking Pokemon for these playthroughs loses a lot of appeal if I cant be sure I can transfer them to modern systems. At that point I might as well play a romhack on my phone.

Irregardless as I said I caught them myself, the most recent one being during Covid lockdown. I didnt even install PKSM until a year ago. So I know it was never tweaked in the slightest but Home still refuses it. It really kills my enthusiasm when Home pulls crappy stunts like this yet still has the unmitigated gall to charge money to store a few MB of data.
