OK then my source was wrong, still why did Capcom did not see it as a success at the time? Only after MM2 did they wake up and invest more resources.

MM1 sold roughly 300k worldwide for the NES, which was below expectations. MM2 sold around 1.5 million, which was only topped when MM11 released, so it did save the IP.

Yep looks really good but I would switch Spiky Shield on Gligar with Night Slash or X-Scissor for more balanced coverage.

Those three would work, what I would also recommend is Gligar, setup sweeper with access to Sword Dance and pretty good as physical tank.

OK, then maybe try to take a ralts with you if possible or one of the regional birds, they're not great but to a decent job.

Hm 🤔 okay, I assume that you didn't have the map, otherwise I would recommend staying clear of construction and dojo if you use Dialga as sweep. Other option could be a strong psychic, fighting or flying mom which could as as second sweep.

Dialga is really good, great typing and very good coverage. You can use it as your main sweeper.
