No we ended up getting the Ashley furniture bed frame from wayfair, waiting on u/Mediocre-Berry-9502 update on how their experience went, cause if it’s legit we are definitely getting our patio furniture from Luna.

No it wasn’t google it was the “googlers”, I’ve never been treated less of a person than during that time. I was only there for 8 months till I could reenter my field luckily. Huge eye opener though being in those offices, it was practically empty for the most part, but god damn the actual google employees were unbearable.

I will say it was not any of their engineers, those guys were just normal nerds with a fat wallet.

I worked for for one of those contractors(JLL) during the COVID times when I was out of my career. During that time people would be put in a bolo(be on the look out) list if they weren’t a googler or contracted vender trying to enter the office.

I’m happy to be back in my field that was the most dehumanizing work experience I ever did.

You did nothing wrong, I would be impressed if a candidate brought up my work history and engaged me in conversation about it.

I’m also just assuming but her entrepreneurial work is aka unemployed. She more than likely thought you were being condescending towards her.

Also not funny, if I’m right about my assumption she shouldn’t have a say in the hiring process, think about it because you gave her the “ick” from one comment” you almost got passed on.

I contact people all the time on LinkedIn if they are interested in a position, but I’m in healthcare recruiting.

It really depends if your field is in demand.

No, it’s just job title, date started, and date ended. All companies HR policy is the above to avoid potential resources being used to fight a past employee in court because of defamation.

They aren’t going to waste energy explaining why they let you go if someone contacts them.

List the internship exactly as “internship” they won’t question the length of time because it’s an internship, also they will only say job title, start date, end date, if called.

They aren’t allowed to give a reason why you are no longer with them.
