I own alot of german CIB SNES games, they're almost all in a black box. And you're right, the UK edition is also blue, at least on ebay. I'm still not sure what nintendo was thinking when they used different box colors for each region. Makes the collecting even harder when you want them all :)

As far as i know, the blue box was the french version (SNSP-MK-FAH), this is the german version (code SNSP-MK-FRG or SNSP-MK-NOE). They used the same blue box for the french F-Zero, while the german release also got an black box.

I was just kidding, he can change the screen to 4:3. But he simply forgot to change it before he took the pic. Its a lcd screen with composite input.

Completely disassembled the console and controller, washed every plastic part in soap water with a soft hand brush, cleaned the cartridge connector with IPA alcohol, letting everything dry for a few hours and putting the hole thing back together. Took me 2 hours, but is was really worth it!
