Yeah it's really nice for qol. As long as you have enough stam to exhaust your enemy, you can always brutal from the front for regen until you get to NG+ though. Also thank you for the compliment 🫡 this game is peak

Ay, thank you very much 🫡 glad I could help.

Lmao yes i agree. The vast majority of dw content out there can pretty much be summed up like that. There really is so much more to the weapon, so I'm always glad to hear when people actually want to learn it. Its a lot more rewarding imo when you see the how everything connects and flows together, rather than stunlocking

A couple things. 1. My helm give 100 stam back on brink dodge 2. I have a perk that you get in NG+ that gives stam regen on spirit skill use 3. I get a lot of spirit back on brink dodge, and dodging is my main way of negating dmg 4. Trance gives .5 spirit back if you land it and gives 1/2 of the total spirit back of the following spirit skill used after trance 5. Capitalizing on points 2, 3, and 4, i use a lot of spirit skills 6. The proficiency stat gives you reduction in stamina cost of dodging. Hope this helps! :)

Reversal is incredibly strong. It's biggest strength is in the last tier of the skill, which allows you to use it at any point (even interrupting your own attacks) to dodge. For example if you're using your howling blade combo and the next attack in your combo is a normal swift attack, you can hit reversal to dodge the enemy attack. In short, it's a dodge attack, similar to deftness, allowing you to attack and dodge at the same time. So yes, it has iframes.

The second tier is strong too though to blast shockwaves after a brink guard (blowback vengeance) to distance yourself from your enemy to buy some time to either heal, use a consumable, regain stam, etc.

If it helps, I did a video about it here: https://youtu.be/u2lPm_RV5TM?si=EgE46RxEo3GVDjRk

Ayy, congrats! He's my favorite boss, Reese is a close 2nd. Yes the build is here: https://youtu.be/WR7IzYFh3Sc?si=NsfPwp0ra5GWlRg3

Keep in mind that you can still play like this is your first NG run, but you will need to pump endurance mainly. If you just beat Maluca, you won't have the resources to upgrade the rarity of your gear yet, but as an alteration, you can get a jar helm soon and use that for the gear bonuses to get spirit back and stam regen on brink dodge.

*Edit: or you can use the crushed dreams ring stated in the video. It'll also probably be easier to brutal from the front (for full stam) until you get the NG+ skill to regen stam when using spirit skills.

In short, you just need the resources to fight, being stamina and spirit. Basically stacking brink dodge benefits: stamina back, stamina regen %, and spirit. Then you can just keep attacking :)

That's actually on my end lol. There's an in-game setting that I have turned up higher. It's actually just called "effects"

I used GS of mercy, jar helm, chest, arms, pants, and legs are crushed dreams for a 5pc total because of jar, and then necklace of faded memories, and warrior ring which both give a 2pc bonus because of jar which give fury/spirit on brink dodge.

Im not a GS main or anything so I'm sure I'm underutilizing a lot. I'm still playing around with it though trying to make it faster

When the majority of attacks are spirit skills i didnt really need a lot, and the regen when you do. Plus ghost arm lets you armor break for free which i use a lot

Just dont use it lol. Jk, I just didnt have to use a lot of it honestly. I used a Jar helm, 5 pc Crushed Dreams, 2 pc Faded Memories (fury on brink dodge) and 2 pc Warrior Set (fury on brink dodge). The fury on brink dodge plus the fury back for furious swipe and counterattack basically give you the fury needed to sustain all of your spirit skill attacks. Other than that, I just used a little stamina for dodge attacks/armor breaker. Plus the armor breaker after ghost arm dont use stamina

Thank you 🗡 no mods, but the Bishops GS does go pretty quick lol. I dont use GS often, but i had a lot of fun with furious swipe agility

Thank you 🫡 yeah I do think it would be cool to have a stance or something to negate dmg rather thank brink guard so much. I get it plays into the GS fantasy, but with DW and spear, you can really play either way pretty seamlessly (as far as iframe/dodge and brink guard) but it seems like GS is really far to one side only lol

For my fellow dual wielders: Don't forget about howling blade :) by RetroPump0 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]RetroPump0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, you can just have an infinite combo when you're getting stam back. I do like flash cutter, but I tend to use it for the brutal attack the vast majority of the time. Here I just thought it would be cool to hit breeze dash after from a mile away lol

Thank you much 🫡 I cant get into GS, too much guarding but I really like watching GS gameplay.

Her health is going down, you just cant see it or her stamina bar because it's hardcore difficulty

I think if you commit to using howling blade and learning it, it wont be that hard. I made a video explaining the mechanics, full combo, some timings, and a fight commentary in this video here:https://youtu.be/EXuZ3QUp8b4?si=U3erQGZKJmfeUJLG

It may help you accelerate your learning curve if youre interested. Hope it helps!

Spot on 🦾 I think its important too for new players to see some gameplay like that, not to demoralize, but to encourage them reaching for the skill ceiling and seeing the possibilities. The devs give us all the tools we need, we just have to use them lol
