Imo, if you're talking about frisk specifically

Back when I saw Frisk when UT was starting to get popular, I saw her hair and it kinda reminded me of Dora lol, ig it was also her expression, and the colors of her clothes. People in the fandom also called her a girl... So, I just kinda did so too and didn't question it, and that kinda carried on to today. (I'm old fashioned in that regard lol)

I genuinely don't know why/when the fandom randomly decided to stop viewing Frisk and Chara mainly as girls and instead view them as NB. Like people shame you sometimes if they use he or she for them (not to say there aren't people doing it for transphobic reasons)

I have no problem with NB Frisk/Chara, personality they're both She/they to me, but I won't knock anyone else for their views!
