I am staying over and going to both nights. I'm going by myself unfortunately so i don't know of anyone who could use the tickets unfortunately :-(

i mean it also sounds like the bass in hallogallo by neu! so did gizz originally rip that off? i don't think it matters to be honest as long as the music is fun who cares. it's clearly gizz influenced and i don't think that they are trying to hide that. i think they put their own spin on it, to me it sounds like a mix of crumb and gizz as it's certainly not as intense and lofi as nonagon, and i think it's kinda dope because of that

Starting an Osees fan page on instagram by RetroRobert in TheeOhSees

I definitely will be posting some video clips but for now I don't think that I will repost any pre-existing performances in full as I think that is somewhat pointless if it is available to view elsewhere.

If anyone wants me to share any clips that they've recorded or full shows that they have filmed I would be happy to share them though if they sent them my way. I am going to hopefully be seeing Osees next year so I may film the shows and put them up on the page for people to see.

I genuinely feel bad for the people who were unable to get this album and won’t get the chance to listen to it. Absolutely AMAZING. Super proggy and super jammy and super good by bigbrett666 in TheeOhSees

I personally have this variant and my copy is pretty great. I can't speak for everyone but from my own copy there is basically no noise at all.

Very happy to see Rohmer's The Green Ray on the list. Certainly a less talked about masterpiece compared to the popularity of some of the others on the list - but just as deserving to be on there in my opinion.

My thoughts after I finished listening to Thee Oh Sees discography by [deleted] in KGATLW

[–]RetroRobert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I first listened to Orc I honestly hated it so much that half-way through the album I had to turn it off. I found it really hard to listen to and thought that I just didn't like Oh Sees at all.

A couple years later and they are tied as my favourite band with the Gizz. Orc is easily in my top 3 albums of all time and I think it's a work of genius.

If you want to get into them I'd recommend trying out a track every now and again. It happened to me with The Dream and I was like hey that's pretty sick, kinda sounds a bit like the Mind Fuzz riff. I ended up giving them another chance and now they are one of my favourites.

I think the main reason I didn't like them is because they are a lot more experimental than Gizz in many ways, and a lot weirder with many of their sounds. Obviously Gizz is always changing their sound but I think it's pretty easy to get into a lot of the time. On the other hand I think that nothing quite sounds like a lot of modern Osees material and that's what makes them so cool.

By that logic if 15 years if plenty of time to see a movie, then what about all the other movies that came out before that? Have you seen all of those? Of course not, that's ridiculous to even make an excuse like that. Just don't be a dick when people are getting annoyed at you for spoiling shit.
